An important memorial event bringing together communities and friends from across East Africa 🌍
Today, @IsraelinKenya and @IsraelinEthiopia jointly hosted Mr. Rob Fransman, a Holocaust survivor, for a virtual gathering from across East Africa in commemoration of #Holocaust Remembrance Day also known as #YomHaShoah.
Mr. Fransman's deeply moving story - surviving the Holocaust as a hidden child and growing up postwar as an orphan in foster care -shed light on the horrors endured during that time. His journey is a powerful testament to inner strength, resilience, and an enduring hope for a better future, which continues to inspire his advocacy and voice.
While expressing concern over the persistence of antisemitism in today’s world, his message was clear: we must stand firmly against all forms of racism, prejudice, hatred, and discrimination.
Ambassadors of @IsraelinKenya, @gideonbehar, and of @IsraelinET, Dr. @AvrahamNeguise, emphasized that “Never Again” must not remain just words—it must be a call to action.

Bridging memory across generations.
From the families and souls we lost
to those who survived and carried their stories forward -
we remember not only how they died, but how they lived.
On Yom HaShoah, we honor the six million
and the survivors whose voices ensured their light would never fade.

Today we remember the 6 million beautiful souls that were murdered in the holocaust, for one reason only, being Jewish.
Still today Iran and its proxies are trying to destroy the Jewish people in the only Jewish state.
Never again.
