As a Muslim, I sometimes wonder if we realise how the rest of the world sees us.
We are roughly 26% of humanity, yet many people see us as a problem the remaining 74% must deal with.
ISIS, Boko Haram, Al-Qaeda, Al-Shabaab, ISWAP, JNIM. Terror groups keep emerging in the name of Islam.
Add to that the demands for Shariah in other people's countries, the condemnation of other people's cultures and the intolerance towards different beliefs.
Then we wonder why people are becoming uncomfortable with Islam.
We cannot keep blaming Islamophobia while refusing to confront the problems within our own communities.
At what point do we admit that some of the world's criticism of us deserves an honest response?

🇮🇱🇧🇷 Hezbollah is reportedly recruiting convicted criminals in Brazil to prepare terrorist attacks against Jewish communities and Israeli targets across Latin America.
Rather than relying on ideological supporters, the Lebanese militant group is allegedly targeting criminals struggling financially, offering them money and sending them to Lebanon for training.
The operation was uncovered through Brazil's Operation Trapiche investigation, launched in November 2023 with assistance from Israel's Mossad.
One suspect, Lucas Passos Lima, allegedly traveled to Lebanon twice before returning to Brazil and filming three synagogues, a Jewish cemetery, the Israeli embassy and a rabbi near Brasília.
Investigators also uncovered suspected weapons training, covert communications and financial networks involving Brazilian businesses.
In a separate case, a São Paulo cryptocurrency broker is accused of creating digital wallets for Hezbollah and the IRGC to facilitate money laundering and terrorism financing.
The suspected strategy is to use ordinary criminals as operatives, making potential attacks appear to be isolated acts of violence rather than coordinated terrorist operations.
