The Utah statehouse (as it stands right now) is a 61-14 GOP supermajority.
The Utah statehouse (as election results extrapolate right now) would be a 44-29-2 majority.
This is devastating for the Utah GOP.
Wow who could’ve guessed nominating a child predator collaborator would collapse your parties support #Texas

Google is using its search monopoly to coerce schools into adopting AI. This highlights the danger of allowing an unregulated monopolist to control an essential service.
Multiple courts have found Google liable for violating antitrust laws, and this latest move shows it remains unchastened.
As the public increasingly pushes back against the use of AI in schools, Google is making clear it will punish those who don’t fall in line.
Breaking: Google will turn off web search for schools that opt out of A.I. for kids.

We got your back, New York!

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

Life is now just watching conservatives do this everyday and being helpless to stop it
This man was meant to be a fabulous LES drag queen, but his homophobic father repressed who he was truly meant to be, and we all suffer for it.
Internalized homophobia is very dangerous, and robs people of themselves.

Politico: Some House Democrats are now pushing to kick Haley Stevens out of their caucus
Five House Democrats privately told POLITICO they want Stevens removed or for her to be somehow punished by leadership.
Rep. Marc Veasey (D-Texas), who is retiring, said in an interview that Stevens’ actions were beyond the pale for a Democrat.
“I was the first Caucus member to host a fundraiser for her Senate bid. And, I’d be the first to make the motion to remove her,” Veasey told POLITICO.
“This is insane,” he added.

.@RepJeffries if you don’t nip this behavior in the bud you will make a million more Haley Stevens’ who will lose their primaries, and go to endorse the Republican
There is no point in having you lead the caucus, or even in having a caucus, if this behavior is regular within it.
Rule 1 of the House Democratic Caucus rule:
B. In order to maintain membership in good standing, Members shall not participate in campaign
activities for any candidate in a partisan federal election who is not a Member of the Democratic
Party.

Anyone who understands the stakes of this election knows that this endorsement is a complete betrayal of Michigan, of voters, and of everything Congresswoman Stevens claims to stand for. And it’s particularly disgusting that she would use Black Michiganders and a space of worship as props in her efforts to seek attention.
If you truly care about Black communities, women, immigrants, workers' rights, or democracy — you could never stand with a Trump acolyte like Mike Rogers. Haley Stevens has shown her true colors today.

Deplorable and embarrassing.
Capitulating to fascism, Islamophobia, racism and the policies hurting everyday Americans makes you unfit to serve with the Democratic caucus.
Shame on Haley Stevens. She must be removed from the caucus.
Humiliate her so the next Haley Stevens doesn’t feel empowered to do the same.
The narrative they’re trying to spin is dem disunity, we need to be united against her and FOR Abdul.
I’ve known Haley Stevens for a long time. Until now, she has always had staff to protect her, prop her up, and keep her safe from her own irrational behavior. What we’re seeing now? This is just raw, unfiltered Haley.
The Haley who flip-flops and goes from thought to thought without rhyme or reason. The Haley that calls you at 3 AM to yell at you, and then calls you back at 5 AM oblivious to the fact that she even spoke with you at 3 AM. The Haley who bends to the last and loudest voice that tells her something.
More often than not that last voice is now her fiancé. And as you can see by what one of her former staff people posted earlier here on X, that appears to potentially be a really troubling relationship.
Up until this point, other than a joke I made on X a few days ago, I wasn't going to say anything public about Haley Stevens or how she has comported herself since the primary. It not only wasn't appropriate, I would never, ever want anyone to think I was speaking for or on behalf of my wife. But Haley's erratic choices mean I can no longer be silent about my interactions with her since the primary ended.
I approached Haley in the middle of September about putting her name to an Op-Ed attacking Mike Rogers for his unwillingness to denounce the antisemitic members of his own team, the $10 million in support he's received from Christian nationalist Tim Dunn, and his steadfast opposition to a woman's right to choose. The goal of the Op-Ed was to remind members of the Jewish community that Mike Rogers doesn't align with our values. The proposed Op-Ed never mentioned Abdul. The only thing it asked for was to not vote for Mike Rogers.
Initially she was very interested in it.
Then she wasn't.
Then she was again.
Then she wasn't.
She never signed it.
Literally the bare minimum - attack MAGA Mike Rogers, the guy who would have been running against you had you won the primary. And that was over a month ago. This is nothing new. This is just who Haley is. By the way, here's the Op-Ed that she wouldn't let me publish.

Scathing statement from Michigan Dem Party chair Curtis Hertel saying Haley Stevens’ appearance with Mike Rogers “shows that she has abandoned everything she claims to care about.”
