I made an app to make screen recordings like an Apple Ad And it just crossed 70 paying users in its first 3 days!

Added a new decision model leaderboard to whatmodel Surprisingly, Jev wasn't anywhere near the top Seems fine-tuned Gemma 4's are far better (weirdly)

I made ls for your agent sessions: lsa Forgot which agent I was last using (Claude? Codex? Pi?), so now I just run lsa to see them all. → resume any session → hand it off to another agent → pipe it to grep → works with tmux github.com/jakemanger/lsa

I've tried to follow the Unix philosophy: do one thing well and work with other tools through text streams. You can pipe conversations to tools like `grep` to search them (`lsa show 0 | grep 'TODO'`) or resume them with `lsa resume f7c2`. To continue the conversation in another agent, `lsa handoff 0 codex` opens Codex with the conversation already loaded so you can keep chatting.

It can also replace the bit I wanted from agent multiplexers like herdr, Claude Squad and cmux: getting back into a session and leaving it running. Instead of building another multiplexer, it just works with tmux. `lsa resume 0` automatically finds and attaches to the tmux pane the session is already running in. `ctrl-b d` detaches and leaves it running in the background. A quick `lsa` shows whether it's still working. Would love to know if you find it useful.

My new open source AI leaderboard, whatmodel, has been doing really well on reddit. People are using the data, sharing it and I'm even seeing it linked and referenced on news sites. That's been giving me ~1k people a day visiting. That traffic is pretty good for a new site. But what i didn't realise until now is that it was costing me!

Woke up to this email from @vercel saying all my projects were paused Annoying, but I'm glad the cap kicked in. I had set a spending cap years ago (even though I'd never reached close to it before). Have read too many stories of $50k bills from no spending caps + DDoS attacks. Luckily, this is not one of those stories. Dug into why whatmodel was costing so much and it was badly optimised. Spent the morning fixing it. It now handles 20x the traffic

My screen recorder's text boxes/subtitles were embarrassingly janky as heck. I fixed them in ShotGlass v0.3.2. Now they look nice and clean!

My AI leaderboard, whatmodel.sh, just crossed 17,000 visitors! It tells you what AI model you can run locally and compare it to the frontier models Local means no data centres too!

My last product demo took 14 takes. The next one took 0, because I didn't film it. If you hate recording demos, your agent can now use ShotGlass to do it for you. I updated my whisky-themed screen recorder so Claude can run the whole thing (video below is the result 👇)

Twitter: Don't use this paid software made by a developer, use this reverse engineered free AI slop!! Me: Solo dev with $2k/mo, down from $8k/mo AI is replacing the programming skills I built over 10 years Still shipping though 🔥

Just added scores from LMArena Ranks 4th overall on whatmodel.sh (but as more independent benchmarks get added it might go even higher)
I did say we'd be releasing our models periodically...introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, our next frontier model. Following Argon's release just two weeks ago, Carbon shows the pace at which we’re pushing the frontier, it ranks #1 on the recently updated v5.0 of @ArtificialAnlys Intelligence Index at 59. It also leads across key cybersecurity evaluations scoring 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching. We’re seeing significant improvements in long-horizon tasks even compared to Argon, and we’ve strengthened frontier safeguards. As we did with Argon, we’re going to roll it out gradually + responsibly. Some trusted cyber defenders will get access starting this week. We'll be expanding it to more partners through our Fairwind Program, ahead of wider availability soon, so hang tight!

got inspired by this post: i just open sourced my AI leaderboard! wait... it was always open source whatmodel.sh
i got fired by @wickedguro this morning so i'm releasing the entire source code to the public enjoy 👇 github.com/athcagithub/posti…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The post misrepresents the situation: the screenshot and Nevo David's reply show termination of a 3-month paid ads consulting contract, not firing a CMO. Postiz source code is already publicly available as open-source (no features gated) at the official repository. github.com/gitroomhq/post… x.com/wickedguro/sta… postiz.com

Updated my personal site page on jakemanger.dev I get viral posts on sites like Reddit quite frequently, but most of my audience on socials never see them. Now they can: It aggregates everything I post online, shows the best ones and lets you view all my projects and how i've grown them. Got inspired by @levelsio's levels.io site. Also lets you sign up to my new email list using mailcheap by @marclou So if you want to keep up with new things I've learned and found while building, please subscribe!

It supports over 6,000 document, video, image, comic, email, subtitle and audio conversions. Runs on Mac, windows and Linux and is a one time purchase as I hate subscriptions. The app: howtoconvert.co
