Outstanding human. He did a surgery on my wife who had a 4x4 CM tumor on the Rt side of her brain. I’ll never forget the pre surgery speech he gave her. It was a football pep talk. Told her she’s going to live to be 130! Fired me up. Love the guy. Great surgeon but better human🙏🏼
ESPN once ranked Myron Rolle the best high school football player in America. He never played a single down in an NFL regular season game. Today he operates on children's brains. Rolle grew up in Galloway Township, New Jersey. His parents are from the Bahamas. He went to the Hun School of Princeton and by 2006 the recruiting services had him at the top of the board, a five star safety every program in the country wanted. He picked Florida State. Then he finished his bachelor's degree in exercise science in two and a half years with a 3.75 GPA, and made third team All-American in 2008. And then he won a Rhodes Scholarship. The interview was in Birmingham, Alabama, on a Saturday, the same day Florida State was playing at Maryland. The NCAA let him charter a plane. He sat for the interview, found out he had won, got on the plane, landed in College Park and played in the game. Here is where it turns. He was projected as a first or second round NFL pick. Instead he skipped the entire 2009 season and went to Oxford for a year to earn a master's degree in medical anthropology. When he came back, the league had moved on. The Tennessee Titans took him in the sixth round, 207th overall, in 2010. Two hundred and six players went ahead of a kid who had been the number one recruit in the country. He never appeared in a regular season game for Tennessee. He spent a stretch with the Pittsburgh Steelers and got released. That was it. That was the whole NFL career. In 2013 he walked away from football entirely and enrolled at the Florida State College of Medicine. He was 26 and starting over in a field where everybody else had been pointed at it since undergrad. He graduated in 2017. Then he matched into neurosurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, which is roughly the hardest thing in American medicine to get into. Then a pediatric fellowship at Johns Hopkins. In the spring of 2020 he was a resident working hospital floors during COVID. Today he is a pediatric neurosurgeon at Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando. He runs the Myron L. Rolle Foundation, which does health and education work for children and families who need it. Be honest about the football part. Nobody can prove Oxford cost him. Scouts had real questions about whether he would commit to the sport, and plenty of number one recruits never make it for reasons that have nothing to do with a scholarship. But here is what we know for sure. He was told he was throwing away a career. He went anyway. And the thing everybody was afraid he would choose instead of football is the reason some kid in Orlando is going to wake up tomorrow. Milton Friedman argued that Americans spend a huge portion of their working lives supporting government. His broader point was about the value taxpayers receive in return for what they pay.nitter.cf/MiltonFriedmanW/status… “Very few of us indeed… believe that we are getting our money’s worth.” A decades-old argument that still sparks debate about the size and cost of government.

When Christians Don't Vote: a helpful analogy. 🇺🇸✝️ Imagine a child’s future rests in the hands of a panel of citizens. They must choose between two prospective guardians. For this thought experiment, assume these are the only available placements, and one will be selected whether you participate or not. Guardian A abuses substances, sells drugs from his apartment, and regularly brings strangers home for sexual encounters. He promises the child plenty of toys and treats, but offers little stability, supervision, or accountability. Guardian B sometimes uses coarse language, watches questionable television, and has laughed at inappropriate jokes. Twenty years ago, he was caught shoplifting. He has real flaws. But he now maintains a stable home, works consistently, and takes the responsibility of caring for a child seriously. The panel is closely divided. Your vote could make the difference. But you announce, “I have high standards. Both men have done wrong, and I refuse to attach my name to either one.” You might feel that you’ve protected your integrity. But what have you done to protect the child? The child still has to live with the outcome of the decision you declined to influence. Voting for Guardian B wouldn’t mean approving of his language, his entertainment choices, or his past theft. It would mean judging that, among the available options, he would provide substantially better care. The same distinction matters in elections. A vote gives someone power, so character matters. So do competence, policies, judgment, and the likely consequences for the people they’ll govern. Those things deserve serious scrutiny. But saying “both candidates have flaws” doesn’t establish that their flaws (or the consequences of electing them) are equal. Abstaining isn’t literally a vote for either candidate. It does, however, surrender your opportunity to help determine the better outcome. When the alternative outcomes differ substantially, your non-participation has consequences and is its own type of vote. Having standards requires making distinctions. If one available candidate would govern substantially better, the existence of flaws in both candidates doesn’t erase that difference. Perfection isn’t on the ballot. Consequences are.

"Why do you attack James Talarico for mixing Christianity and politics but not pastors who do it?!" This is the new attempt to defend James Talarico's heresy. I'm going to try to address it. Holy Spirit, help me. The most important distinction here is that we, as Christians, do not respond to a pastor or fellow believer who is trying to faithfully interpret scripture in a way that we disagree with in the same way we do a literal HERETIC who intentionally distorts the word of God. So when a Pastor says: "Hey, you shouldn't vote for a heretic and here are all the examples of his false teaching" – you are free to disagree about whether a pastor should do that. However, if you're more upset about the pastor doing that than you are with the actual heretic because he's on "your team," it's time to reevaluate. Talarico's heresies are not minor. They are glaring. 1. There are “multiple paths” to God (there is only one: Jesus) 2. Using Jesus to condone homosexuality 3. Intentionally misquoting Paul in Galatians “neither male nor female” to promote transgenderism 4. Teaching kids the Bible is “deeply immoral” Then there's the fact that he is a member of a church that questions whether Jesus ever existed and the "pastor" says on video: "Jesus didn't die for our sins." There are more examples. But I have work to do today and I could spend hours chronicling his false teaching. This is not a difference in biblical interpretation or application. So anyone comparing Talarico with pastors telling you not to vote for him is naive at best, and intentionally deceitful at worst. If you have a problem with pastors pointing out the moral asymmetry between the two political parties -- one of which supports slaughtering unborn children, trans-ing kids, indoctrinating kids with LGBT propaganda, and is generally hostile to Christianity -- that's your perogative. But claiming these pastors have no biblical basis for doing so is disingenous. I can state with 100% conviction that James Talarico has ZERO biblical basis for many of the ways in which he distorts scripture to fit his twisted political ideology. That's the difference.

Meet Parastoo Ahmadi, the Iranian singer just sentenced to 74 lashes for not wearing a hijab in a music video. And I have yet to see a single Western popstar, actor, or woke social justice warrior speechifying about her. Almost like standing up for truly oppressed people isn’t actually the point.

If you listen to Cain, he will tell you that righteous Abel was the problem. If you listen to Potiphar’s wife, she will tell you that righteous Joseph was the wicked man. If you listen to Pharaoh, he will tell you that Moses was an enemy of the state. If you listen to Saul, he will tell you that loyal David was a traitor. If you listen to Haman, he will convince you that Mordecai was a dangerous enemy. If you listen to Ahab and Jezebel, they will tell you that Elijah, the prophet of God, was the troublemaker. If you listen to the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, they will tell you that the sinless Jesus was a blasphemer. If you listen to Judas Iscariot, he will find a way to justify betrayal. If you listen to Pontius Pilate, he will wash his hands while Truth stands directly in front of him. And if you listen to the world, do not be surprised when it calls righteousness evil and evil good. My friends, listen carefully: a lie does NOT become Truth simply because it is repeated loudly, confidently, or by powerful people. Be careful what you hear. Be careful whom you believe. Be careful whom you follow. Test everything by the Word of God. The world may condemn you for standing for Biblical Truth but the only verdict that ultimately matters is His!!! Stand firm. Stand faithful. And above all, listen to Jesus.

🚨 EXTENDED cut of my conversation with Pastor @PhilipAMitchell on Islam... This might be the most uncomfortable conversation for pastors to have right now. We have 1,400 years of history as a guide. It would be very naive to think it will be different this time.

🚨 Welcome to the $15 billion California High Speed Rail to nowhere: Since 2008 California has spent $15 billion and has not connected a single city or laid a single track. It is now projected to cost more than $200 billion to finish despite being proved nearly impossible to complete. In 2008 China also announced a high-speed rail and has now connected the entire country with over 30,000 miles while California has connected 0 miles. Over $500 million has gone to contractors who could not work, homes are currently being built on the alignment, and farmers will lose their farms. In this video I go down the alignment of the high speed rail exposing the failures and confront the legislators in charge of this absolute disaster of a project. A prime example of fraud, waste and abuse of the taxpayer dollar.
