“Secretary of State Marco Rubio has outlined a sequence of events… making it clear that presidential elections will be held in 2027,” said opposition leader Maria Corina Machado after returning to Venezuela. “I’ve said it before: Elections will be held, all the ones mandated by our Constitution,” said Acting President Delcy Rodriguez. “Who knows, maybe someday soon it will become a prosperous 51st state,” President Trump has said about Venezuela. “This is a country that's recovering from almost a quarter century of trauma, a very deep trauma, and this is the best opportunity Venezuela has had almost in a generation,” said Secretary Rubio.

“Netanyahu finds himself tonight facing a larger and stronger national Zionist majority among the general public,” said candidate for PM and former military chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot after no party reached a majority. “Israel faces a singular historical opportunity, together with our partner President Trump, to remove the existential threat of Iran once and for all,” Israeli PM Netanyahu said to supporters. Arab-led parties could help either of the two leading political blocs gain a majority of seats and form a majority coalition. However, Eisenkot and Netanyahu have indicated that they will not form a coalition with the Arab parties. And until a majority coalition is formed, Netanyahu will serve as caretaker prime minister. Israeli president Isaac Herzog has the responsibility of choosing the leader of the party he thinks has the best chance at forming a majority coalition of parties to form the next government. Herzog says the final election results will arrive next week.

Exit polls show Israeli elections are deadlocked between the two main blocs. What comes next❓ Israeli President Isaac Herzog will select the leader of the party he believes has the best chance to form a majority coalition with other parties, to gain at least 61 seats. Forming that majority coalition could take weeks or months as parties negotiate to join the coalition. For example, ultra-Orthodox parties have been calling for exemptions from military service for religious students, which could be used in negotiations for support. Netanyahu is challenged by former military chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot, who says he’s against their exemption from military service.

Ahead of Israel’s election on Tuesday, people rallied in Tel Aviv and demanded an independent commission of inquiry into the failures surrounding the October 7th massacre. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was in power during the attack, was endorsed by President Trump. Netanyahu faces a challenge from former military chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot, who has pledged to investigate what went wrong surrounding the October 7th attacks. A Jerusalem resident is pointing to October 8 and wants Netanyahu to stay in power: “Ensure he continues the line he started on October 8. And that’s it: to continue being aggressive against our enemies, to continue managing the economy well, and hopefully succeed in uniting everyone.”

Israeli forces say Hamas terrorists shot and killed two Israeli soldiers in the West Bank before the troops killed two attackers. “We will evacuate the residents, we will go house to house, we will also confiscate the weapons there, and all terrorist infrastructure will be dealt with and destroyed,” said Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. “It is unacceptable to have an authority in Judea and Samaria that calls for murder and acts in favor of murder,” said Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. The Palestinian Authority has a policy in place that pays the families of terrorists who harm or kill Israelis, if the terrorist is injured, killed, or detained in the process.

The DoW and Lockheed Martin announced a 10-year framework agreement for the F-35 fighter jet that would guarantee a minimum of 850 jets. What makes the F-35 so special? An Air Force Major explained the F-35’s stealth capabilities differ from previous fighter jets. For example, a mission that might have required 24 fighter jets could potentially be accomplished with only about four F-35s. The deal between the Department of War and Lockheed Martin is not final. It still needs Congressional authorization and appropriations before it becomes a formal contract.

CNN says it has obtained a memo signed by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth that reportedly authorizes a temporary loan of a military heat ray weapon to the Department of Homeland Security. The memo reportedly says DHS may potentially use the non-lethal weapon at the U.S.-Mexico border. “There's no permanent injury caused by it… probably the safest system that we've developed as far as the non-lethal capability,” said a Marine colonel during a previous demonstration. The Active Denial System causes a burning sensation when it comes into contact with the human skin, which some people have previously compared to feeling a blast of heat when opening a hot oven.

“We're rebuilding our military… to ensure that our warfighters have every advantage and are never in a fair fight,” said Secretary of War Hegseth during the Arsenal of Freedom Tour. The tour aims to highlight the urgent need to rebuild America's defense industrial base, which the Pentagon says is linked to national security. “I am personally committed to finishing the job. Finishing the job means toppling the terrorist regime in Iran,” said Israeli PM Netanyahu after an unannounced visit by Hegseth. Senior Israeli security officials said Hegseth and Netanyahu discussed tensions with Iran and the ongoing fighting between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi terrorist group in Yemen.

"Today we are announcing state charges against Raúl Castro with an arrest warrant for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder," said Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier. "It's not just a piece of paper... He certainly doesn't have the pleasure to just leave his country and move out freely. If he ends up in a friendly country for whatever reason with extradition agreements, then he will end up here." Castro is charged over his alleged role in the 1996 downing of two Brothers to the Rescue planes. The Miami-based group flew regularly to find and assist Cuban refugees sailing to the U.S. In February 1996, Cuban fighter jets shot down two of the group's planes, killing four people more than 18 miles from the Cuban coast.

Russia says it shot down over 1,000 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory overnight. “Only the United States has this unique intelligence to tell our side when Russia uses ballistic missiles, and we didn’t get it during ballistic attacks for three days,” said Ukrainian President Zelenskyy. However, President Trump said last week that the U.S. was still sharing intelligence with Ukraine. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on NBC’s Meet the Press that Zelenskyy should “be very careful about making statements like this that aren’t true.” Russian President Putin says Moscow is establishing a non-negotiable security zone inside Ukraine along their border.

“Like, how often do you want to stick upside down in a car?” said @elonmusk at the debut of Tesla’s flying car. Demonstrations included driving upside down and launching over multiple vehicles while flipping sideways. “We need an audience to prove that it’s not AI or SI.” Tesla’s Roadster drove 0-60 mph in 0.81 seconds and can reach speeds over 230 mph. “We’ll just ride the limit of don’t detach the retina of the human in the car,” said Musk. The Roadster is set to hit production lines in 2028.

The Iran-backed Houthi terrorist group fired missiles at Yemen’s presidential palace, reportedly killing multiple people. A Houthi-run news agency, citing a military official, says the Houthis targeted a military operations headquarters run by Saudi Arabian officers at the complex. Yemen’s prime minister and cabinet members were unharmed in the attack. Meanwhile, the European Union and Gulf states were scheduled to attend a joint summit in Saudi Arabia next week. However, the EU and Gulf states postponed the event, as sustained attacks by the Houthis have raised concerns about air travel to and from Riyadh.

Civilian leaders of the Pentagon addressed the need for autonomous systems in the military. “We are rapidly heading to a point in time where, depending on what your signature is, how fast you're moving, the enemy is going to have some sense to where you are, no matter where you are on the planet,” said the Secretary of the Air Force. “When we showed up, there was not a single one-way attack program at the Department of War,” said Secretary of War Hegseth. Hegseth says the Pentagon is planning for a new Autonomous Warfare Command set to start in October 2027.

Saudi Arabia issued a rare evacuation warning to residents in the Houthi-controlled capital of Yemen. The Saudi-led coalition then carried out airstrikes on oil facilities west of the city, according to Houthi-run media. The renewed conflict between the Saudis and the Houthis began last month after the Houthis seized key areas along a critical waterway for transporting oil. On Tuesday, the President of the Houthi-led Supreme Political Council, in a televised speech, vowed to continue fighting Saudi Arabia.

This report contains footage that some viewers may find disturbing. Saudi Arabia released footage of Saturday’s attack on its main airport. The Iran-backed Houthi terrorist group in Yemen claimed responsibility for Saturday’s attack that killed 13 people, including one American, and wounded more than 300. Another attack on Riyadh International Airport on Sunday killed one person and injured nearly a dozen. The U.S. embassy says that some Americans were detained for taking photos of recent events, adding that visitors are subject to local laws while in Saudi Arabia. President Trump tells reporters that the U.S. is going to look at the situation and may join in Saudi strikes against the Houthis.
