Mayor Chow has had the guts to do what no previous mayor since amalgamation has done - raise taxes to support the needs of a growing city with aging infrastructure and pressing affordable housing needs - and people who understand the math are like, “ok.”
But the media? “Massive tax hike” “Toronto being held hostage”
The media needs to get with the program. People aren’t falling for this cooked up narrative any more, and we now have a Mayor who isn’t running scared, but is doing the job that needs to be done.
