Yup. The reason metal lost support from radio, MTV, and the mainstream was that its musicians couldn’t be controlled. They crafted albums, not just hits, and their music took more effort to record and produce properly. It was much easier for the music industry to manufacture artists who were easier to control, with a simpler recording process, and shove them down people’s throats for greater profits. And they still do it to this day. But metal will ALWAYS stand because of the passion, the craftsmanship of its artists, and the dedication of its fans. Not because of β€œhits.” 🀘

CORNELL 7 UPDATE: we now have one of the apology prompts that Cornell required the 7 rapists to complete as punishment for drugging, gang raping, and filming Jane Doe. Reminder the only punishment these men received was to write a PAPER. That was what Cornell deemed as an appropriate response to one of their students being raped for hours and filmed. The prompt for Scott Kretzschmar was to propose educational materials and recommendations for substance use prevention in Greek Life. This is extremely telling considering the accusations that drugs were involved in the rape. What a fucking joke. All 7 of their papers should be released.
