The EU Treaty is very clear. The UK would *HAVE TO* sign a treaty which gave the UK an obligation to adopt the Euro.
Not immediately - that is what Ben mentions, the derogation - but that is temporary. The obligation would still be there.

New YouGov polling just out, on the desired long term relationship with the EU, based on the Prime Minister's speech yesterday.
By far the most supported option considered in the polling, was staying out of the EU, the Single Market and the Customs Union.

According to reports, the details of the mid-air drama have emerged: the co-pilot—acting as an attacker—began stabbing the captain in an attempt to seize control of the plane and crash it, with its passengers on board, into Israeli territory.
The captain resisted and activated distress signals. Flight attendants attempted to enter the cockpit, while Israeli passengers who realized what was happening forcibly broke in, subdued the co-pilot, and removed him from the cockpit. The captain, having sustained multiple stab wounds, was incapacitated.
Miraculously, two Israeli pilots were on board flying back to Israel; they were the ones who landed the aircraft, which otherwise would have crashed. "A great miracle happened to us today," said one of the passengers.

To summarise my point: Brexit has led to lower growth and higher inflation, thus a worse fiscal position, necessitating higher interest rates and creating more expensive gilts than we otherwise would have had worsening our gap compared to France since 2020. To summarise @afneil point: the worsening gap with France is purely Truss and Reeves and unlinked to Brexit. Make your own mind up!
