Catherine McBride OBE Economist warns about the way the Reset is being sold is so wrong
“With respect to the agrifood industry, the Reset is being sold as a way to increase the UK's exports, but this is simoly not true. The UK doesn't export much food now, and it didn't before Brexit. In fact, UK exports of Food and live animals to the EU make up just 1.3% of total UK exports. The UK is a food importer. The Reset will just push some export companies' costs onto UK taxpayers and make it harderto
import food from non-EU countries”

Bridget, telling lies is a breach of the Ministerial Code.
It's well known from your time as Education Secretary (before your demotion!) that you struggle with the truth.
As the then junior minister responsible for financial services regulation, I was not even remotely a 'co-author' of the mini budget. I did not see it until the night before.
I’m flattered that my decades of real-world business experience outside Westminster trigger so many Labour MPs. It’ll be useful when the next Conservative government has to clean up your mess!

18th November.
If the Prime Minister wanted an early General Election to take place in 2026, then he would need to announce it before 18th November.
The EU Summit is on 20th November.
So the smart money is on a General Election in the first half of 2027 - if he is going early.

Who’s in charge of who. The Chancellor or the Treasury.
Uh oh… after John Healey clearly promised on @BBCr4today that the benefits bill will be cut before the next election, @ChrisMasonBBC tells listeners the Treasury have since been on the phone disputing he said this and that he wasn’t putting a timeline on welfare reductions.
