This is the anti-Netanyahu opposition leader touted as a kingmaker here.
All eyes on @AvigdorLiberman If, as seems, Israeli Arabs vote en mass, neither side will be able to form a coalition without outside support from Arab parties. The opposition to Netanyahu would be open to doing that, except for Lieberman, who says he won’t rely on Arab parties. If he breaks his promise, he wins it for the Opposition bloc. He can demand to be first prime minister in a rotation. Or he could go back to his old boss Bibi if the Haredim are out, winning it for the Netanyahu camp. He's the wrecking ball. Either way, Yvette could be kingmaker or king.

You see how this framing erases Israel’s occupation and justifies its actions? Calling collective punishment a “crackdown” sanitizes it. They’re not maintaining law and order, they’re enforcing a military occupation.

I’ve been sounding the alarm about the Chinese Communist Party and its efforts to interfere in our democracy and undermine Canada’s interests for years. I’ve never cared whether the politicians involved were Conservatives, Liberals or New Democrats. The CCP is an authoritarian regime that does not share our democratic values. Its efforts to cultivate influence in Canada must be confronted, not accommodated, excused or overlooked because of partisan loyalties. This reporting raises serious questions that deserve clear answers. Standing up to the CCP isn’t about being left-wing or right-wing. It’s about standing up for Canada. And when it comes to defending our country, there should be no blue team, red team or orange team. There should only be Team Canada.

One of them was a child, but this story got almost no traction. Two occupying Israeli soldiers get wall-to-wall coverage. They don’t hide whose lives they value and whose they don’t.
At least four Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes and gunfire across Gaza, according to health officials. More than 1,500 Palestinians have been killed since last year’s so-called ceasefire. 🔴 LIVE updates: aje.news/9h9ks0

*Not all media. But, yes, way too many who should know better. Difficult to chalk it up to a lack of research or knowledge though when the same set are otherwise happy to regularly defer to the BoC for economic narratives with far weaker evidence.
The media “remain blissfully unaware that the Bank of Canada has written extensively about how (mass) immigration has negatively affected housing, rents, inflation, labour supply, wages, and productivity.” Yeoman’s work here by Mr. Dias in compiling BoC links.

The Canadian government's mass immigration policies of the last 10 years were highly regressive. Having seemingly learned nothing, they are dead set on turning back on the taps rather than letting the country heal. On cue, the media has begun parroting the government's narrative and gaslighting anyone who disagrees. This suggests that they remain blissfully unaware that the Bank of Canada has written extensively about how (mass) immigration has negatively affected housing, rents, inflation, labour supply, wages, and productivity. So I've compiled an inexhaustive list to help these folks. 🏘️- Monetary Policy Report, October 2023 🔗bankofcanada.ca/wp-content/u… ▶️"The strength in rent and other housing costs is partly due to strong housing demand, which is supported by rapid population growth, and a structural lack of housing supply" 🏘️- Staff Analytical Note, December 2023 🔗bankofcanada.ca/wp-content/u… ▶️"The rise in immigration is nonetheless contributing to pressures in inflation components linked to house prices, given that it is adding more to housing demand than to housing supply in the context of structural imbalances in the Canadian housing market." 🏘️ - Speech by Toni Gravelle, December 2023 🔗bankofcanada.ca/2023/12/econ… ▶️"When a country’s population is growing quickly, the supply of housing also needs to increase to avoid a worsening in affordability. Shortly after immigration began ramping up in 2015, Canada’s vacancy rate—a measure of how many apartments and houses there are available to rent or buy—started to fall." 🏘️ - Monetary Policy Report, January 2024 🔗bankofcanada.ca/wp-content/u… ▶️"A larger increase in newcomers than in the past is adding pressure to the structural supply constraint in housing. This has helped to push the overall housing vacancy rate to record lows, which has underpinned house prices and led to higher rents (Chart 3-A)." 🏘️ - Staff Analytical Note, April 2024 🔗 bankofcanada.ca/2024/04/staf… ▶️"Meanwhile, the composition of immigrants coming to Canada has changed considerably since 2015. Historically, growth of the immigrant population in Canada came mostly from permanent residents....While the wages of the earlier immigrants are closer to those of Canadian-born workers and have been increasing over time, those of non-permanent residents are much lower and have fallen over this period. Because real hourly wages are typically correlated with labour productivity, this piece of evidence is consistent with non-permanent residents working in less productive occupations." 🏘️ - Monetary Policy Report, July 2024 🔗bankofcanada.ca/wp-content/u… ▶️"The increase in housing demand from newcomers is being felt across all types of housing, but the largest initial impact tends to be in rental markets. This is because most newcomers start out as renters." 👨‍🌾 - Staff Analytical Note, May 2025 🔗bankofcanada.ca/wp-content/u… ▶️"if newcomers’ conditional wages reflect their labour productivity, the productive capacity of the Canadian economy grew less than it would have if recent newcomers had the same socio-economic characteristics as in the past." ▶️"However, this gain has been particularly acute for certain industries such as accommodation and food services, business, building and other support services, and retail trade. Labour productivity in these industries—which are comprised of a sizable share of lower-skilled occupations—is lower than the average in the business sector." 👨‍🌾 - Staff Analytical Note, May 2025 🔗bankofcanada.ca/2025/06/staf… ▶️"Youth—individuals 15–24 years of age—represent a significant portion of the overall increase in unemployment since the start of 2023. This is a larger share than during other periods of rising unemployment (Chart 5). This is partly due to the high number of immigrants, who are generally younger than the rest of the population." 👨‍🌾 - Speech by Nicolas Vincent, May 2026 🔗bankofcanada.ca/wp-content/u… ▶️“The labour market is particularly challenging for young people”: The 2022–24 influx of young newcomers “intensified competition in Canada for lower-skill and entry-level jobs”. Youth unemployment has risen above 14%, and he expects it may normalize now that immigration has been cut. 🏘️ - Staff Article, September 2026 🔗bankofcanada.ca/2026/09/spar… ▶️"Strong population growth drove asking rents higher in recent years"

AI’s funding equation is starting to crack. Hyperscaler's FCF is expected to turn negative in 2026 and getting worse next year, as AI capex heads past $1T. Meanwhile, semis prices hit 20-year highs and credit conditions tighten—most visibly in Oracle’s surging CDS. Oracle’s 5Y CDS has gone from ~50bp to ~280bp in a year, and IG tech spreads are widening with it. The AI buildout was supposed to be self-funding. It isn’t anymore. Who will be the first on the hook? $ORCL $MSFT $GOOGL $AMZN $META
Jefferies: The AI cash-flow squeeze. The AI spending boom is starting to leave a serious mark on cash flow. Jefferies notes that aggregate free cash flow across the four major hyperscalers collapsed from $60B in Q4 2025 to just $7B in Q2 2026. Consensus expects it to turn negative at $13B in Q3, while quarterly capex is projected to hit $200B. The spending is real. The cash generation is increasingly under pressure. The next question is how much longer investors will tolerate the divergence. $AMZN $META $GOOG $MSFT #DataCenter #AI #Hyperscalers

The IDF provided cover, with tear gas and machine guns, while the settlers beat @washingtonpost journalist Heidi Levine nearly to death. Then the IDF shot a Palestinian bystander, and aimed their guns and shoved the paramedics who were trying to treat him. All of this documented.
Earlier today, IDF and Israel Border Police forces were dispatched to an area adjacent to Khirbet Abu Falah, following a report of a violent confrontation. Foreign media personnel were present at the scene and a female journalist was injured during the confrontation. All details of the incident will be examined. Upon arriving to the scene, the forces acted to disperse the confrontation using riot dispersal means. At another location where the confrontation took place, IDF soldiers initially fired warning shots into the air and then fired toward a suspect who ran toward them, carrying a sharp object and posed a threat to them. The confrontation was dispersed. Israeli Police forces and forensic investigators from the Judea and Samaria District will enter the area with IDF security to collect findings and evidence, as well as take testimonies. Violence against innocent civilians is a grave and intolerable phenomenon that requires a coordinated, multi-agency response. The IDF will work together with the relevant authorities to eradicate this phenomenon. The IDF strongly condemns this incident. Attempts to incite friction between populations undermine security in the area.

I can’t think of any other place in the world where people can regularly attack American citizens, American journalists, like this and our US political and media elites say nothing. No scandal, no outrage, no calls for action or accountability.
BREAKING: Heidi Levine, a photojournalist working in the occupied West Bank with The Washington Post, has sustained injuries along with several others after being attacked by settlers during a pogrom in the village of Abu Falah. 🔴 LIVE updates: aje.news/teweeb

The Coreweave CEO has sold $275 million JUST since Aug 1, and much more before that, along with many other insiders. Why would he sell so much if everything was going to be so good in the future?

When people show you who they really are, believe them. Calling unions “commies” isn't clever, it's the tired rhetoric of those who see workers standing together as a threat. The 40-hour workweek, safer workplaces, fair wages, and basic labour protections weren't handed down out of corporate generosity. Workers fought for them. When workers demanding dignity are treated as the enemy, it tells you exactly whose interests are being defended.
What an abhorrent thing to say by @tobi Unions are not communist. They are a fundamentally democratic institution, which also helps improve productivity in many private sector workplaces. #cdnpoli
