The Half-Day Export Awareness Camp & E-Commerce Export Summit, held under the Districts as Export Hubs (DEH) Activation Drive, was successfully organized by the Office of the Additional DGFT, Mumbai in association with the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Office of the Joint Director of Industries, MMR.
The program brought together exporters, MSMEs, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, startups, FPOs, SHGs, artisans, and aspiring exporters to gain valuable insights into expanding their businesses globally. Participants gained valuable insights into export procedures, DGFT digital services, export finance, customs, logistics, and cross-border e-commerce, along with government incentive schemes.
The summit also featured interactive discussions with government officials and industry experts, offering practical guidance for expanding into global markets and provided participants with practical knowledge, expert guidance, and valuable networking opportunities to strengthen their global trade journey.

Our President Prof. Mahendra Kumar Chouhan @mkchouhan met Ms. Ashwini Bhide @ashwinibhide, Municipal Commisioner, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) @mybmc as a courtesy visit as the President of IMC Chamber Of Commerce and Industry (IMC).
He congratulated her for creating a history by becoming first woman Municipal Commissioner of BMC.
Mr. Chouhan also shared ideas around how IMC can be of help to Municipal Corporation Of Greater Mumbai (@MCGM_BMC) by facilitating better dialogue between Industry and MCGM, the idea being improvement in Civic services to #Mumbaikars Ms. Bhide was very supportive of the idea and welcomed the opportunity to seek Policy inputs in various civic matters from IMC.
Ms. Bhide was kind enough to share the initiatives which BMC is taking for further improvement of its functioning by reengineering its processes, with the help of experts.
Mr. Chouhan also discussed some of the international best practices in city governance and Ms. Bhide was quite open to adept/adopt some of the best practices.

This achievement, ably steered by Hon’ble Commerce & Industry Minister Shri @PiyushGoyal ji and his negotiating team, will significantly enhance India’s export competitiveness and deepen bilateral economic ties.
The agreement opens unprecedented opportunities for India’s manufacturing and services sectors. As a matter of fact CETA will “DEMOCRATISE EXPORTS”. Along with duty-free market access for a vast majority of Indian exports, and opening up of digital delivery of services, the Double Contribution Convention is the unique feature of the agreement. By eliminating dual social security contributions for professionals on temporary assignments, it will strengthen the competitiveness of Indian companies in global arena, reduce operating costs and encourage greater investment into India’s rapidly expanding Global Capability Centres (GCCs).
This agreement is more than just a trade pact. It is a strategic partnership that will spur exports, investment, innovation, employment and position India as a trusted partner in global value chains. IMC is particularly delighted that India-UK CETA will amplify IMC’s theme of the year “Catalysing Future Ready Businesses for Viksit Bharat”.
