Well, of course. Why on earth would Emperor Xi need any of this? Why get dragged into discussions, commitments over Ukraine that he has no use for, or cheap publicity stunts for Putin's benefit? It's only in Putin's head and on Kremlin television, in late 2026, that some grand "new Yalta Conference" could take place, where the "three superpowers" -- China, the United States, and Russia -- gather around a table to pompously carve up a new world order among themselves, without asking anyone else's opinion, in a magnificent display of their absolute power. Back in the real world, here on the sinful earth beneath our feet, these "three superpowers" are not meeting on the brink of some grand victory that will divide human history into a before and after, as was the case in 1945. In reality, the man arriving to meet the Chinese emperor will not be Stalin, but Putin, who spectacularly failed with his triumphant blitzkrieg against Ukraine, has been hopelessly bogged down in a war for years, and whose oil industry is being blown to pieces night after night. His only "victories" exist on the bullshit maps produced by his own General Staff and in the deafening noise of bot-farm hordes running wild. And the other guest will be, to put it mildly, no Roosevelt either, who suffered a crushing fiasco in his own little victorious war against the Iranian regime, derailed the global economy, spectacularly wrecked relations with his own allies, has historically low approval ratings at home, and has (as of now, likely) just suffered a devastating electoral defeat on top of it all. And Emperor Xi himself, with his mounting economic troubles, is hardly in a position to start "dividing up the world" alongside those two suffering from delusions of grandeur. Like it or not, we no longer live in a world where someone can simply issue orders to Ukraine and Europe and expect them to obey their "masters" without question, however convenient that fantasy may be for Kremlin propaganda and Donald Trump's primitive understanding of how the world works.

Remember Kostyantyn Vlasenko, the soldier from Ukraine’s 30th Mechanized who was recently rescued from the battlefield in a spectacular evacuation using a drone? Today, he was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine. For 491 days, since June 2025, he had continuously held his position near the village of Senkivka in Kharkiv Oblast, carrying out missions. For 232 of those days, he was completely alone, after his fellow soldier was killed while attempting to withdraw. After being severely wounded, he was forced to amputate his own feet with a knife. Yet he remained in radio contact, continued relaying vital battlefield intelligence, and received food and medical supplies delivered by drones. Finally, in October 2026, after numerous failed attempts to rescue him, he was successfully evacuated from the battlefield using a heavy-lift drone, in what was the first rescue operation of its kind in history.
