“In the age of climate change, how can churches look afresh at what it means to serve their community and love their neighbor?” — Jessica Moerman, Evangelical Environmental Network sojo.net/articles/churches-p… via @sojourners @jessica_moerman #IRA #usda
This looks like a pile of weeds, but it’s really hope for our future. Removing invasive species so that the trees planted here this fall will provide cooling, clean air, and wildlife benefits to help our communities thrive. #climatesolutions #youthforclimate #forestsforclimate

@AmericanForests, @1t_org_US were proud to help @girlscouts explore their dream green careers @ #PhenomByGirlScouts. We got lots of tree love back in return-girls from AK to Guam gave us swaps. My fave - Sasquatch from Spokane #GenerationRestoration
Thank you @CreationCare for your leadership planting trees to make our communities healthier and more just! Welcome to the #TrillionTreesCommunity! @1t_org_US @AmericanForests

“My dream career helping trees is a hydrologist because I like to think and discover ways to help!” Excited to help @GirlScouts explore #GreenCareers @ #PhenomByGirlScouts @AmericanForests @1t_org_US
True!
In order to be successful, conservation must be a collaborative practice between members of local communities, local partners, and nature! #comunidadYfamilia #latinoconservationweek2023 @AmericanForests @LCW_National
Very excited to be at #PhenomByGirlScouts sharing @AmericanForests Career Exploration and Development activities to spark girls’ interest in #GreenCareers. Huge shoutout to the amazing @EHallPhD whose work is the basis of these activities.
“What’s your dream career helping trees?” @AmericanForests is sparking interest in #GreenCareers w @1t_org_US partner @girlscouts @ #PhenomByGirlScouts. Hear from @Zai_wx #GenerationRestoration & Tia on what we have planned the next few days.
“Living near green spaces could add 2.5 years to your life.” As many of us struggle to be outdoors this week due to the wildfire smoke, let’s be grateful for all those working to ensure everyone has full access to all the benefits of trees. @AmericanForests #treeequity

POV: You're a Granjeno/Spiny hackberry fruit being collected. Granjeno are important plants in the RGV thornforests. Wildlife depend on these fruits for food and the pulp are a source of water especially now that summer has started. @AmericanForests

The magic of @1t_org_US is having a ⛺️ big enough for everyone who wants to deliver change with 🌳, not just “forestry” orgs. This includes faith partners like @CreationCare. 🙏 Rev Dr @jessica_moerman for joining Summit with new pledge from Evangelical Environmental Network!

That’s a wrap on incredible @1t_org_US Summit in NYC. Together we’ve grown a 🇺🇸 #TrillionTrees community that mobilizes all hands for all lands, from #TreeEquity in cities to protecting & restoring biodiverse forest landscapes. Join us to learn, innovate & scale up together! 💚🌳
@girlscouts Amanda Daly and @JadDaley have been the heart and brains behind the #GirlScoutTreePromise. B/c of their commitment, Girl Scouts are planting and protecting trees across America + making our world better. So grateful to see them at @1t_org_US Summit! @AmericanForests
America is at our best when we come together to tackle the toughest challenges of our day. We've reforested America before and together we can do it again to make our communities healthier, tackle climate change, provide habitat, and restore watersheds. @AmericanForests
Going retro as a reminder we've reforested 🇺🇸 once before--namely 3 billion 🌲 planted by CCC during the Great Depression. Another historic #reforestation move is coming 🙏 to BIL & IRA funds that will deliver jobs, natural CO2 capture, habitat & more.

“I promise to be a friend to every tree, just like they’re a friend to me.” Thank you @girlscouts for leading us in making our world a better place by planting 80 trees in Des Moines with @AmericanForests and @Trees_Forever. @GSGI #TreeEquity
Girl Scouts naming their newly planted trees - “I named my tree Katharine b/c that’s my name.” Proud to be w/@GSGI @Trees_Forever planting 80 trees today to cool and beautify this West Des Moines neighborhood. @AmericanForests #TreeEquity.
Trees just starting their lives. Trees help cool our neighborhoods and address climate change. May they live long and prosper. #Forests4Climate @AmericanForests #ClimateJustice
These Guayacan seeds are on to the next stage in their journey as building blocks for restoration. Moments like these often are unseen in the background of a long rewarding restoration process, but are beautiful to highlight when observed. @AmericanForests
