🇵🇾 What just happened in Paraguay should terrify anyone who trusts the banking system.
Nearly 3 MILLION people, roughly 60% of the country’s adult population, suddenly lost access to their bank accounts.
Ueno Bank collapsed overnight. Accounts frozen. Cards useless. Savings inaccessible.
And here’s where it gets even worse.
The bank was managing around $850 MILLION in public funds, including $380 MILLION linked to pensions and healthcare. Even the country’s president previously had financial ties to the group controlling the bank.
Millions of ordinary people are now depending on government guarantees to access THEIR OWN MONEY.
And please, for the love of God, stop telling yourself “this will never happen here”
Everyone thinks their country is different. Everyone trusts their institutions. Until one morning they wake up and discover that the money they worked their entire lives for is suddenly inaccessible.
This is exactly why I chose Bitcoin a long time ago.

🚨 PARAGUAY 🇵🇾 RIOTS IN THE STREETS AFTER 3 MILLION PEOPLE GOT LOCKED OUT OF THEIR OWN MONEY
The central bank shut down Ueno Bank, one of the biggest banks in the country.
3 million customers. About 60% of all adults in Paraguay.
Salaries. Pensions. Savings. FROZEN.
No app. No cards. No ATMs.
Even $380 million of the state pension fund is stuck inside.
Covid locked people inside their homes. This locked them out of their own money.
Then it turned POLITICAL.
President Santiago Peña, the right-wing friend of Milei and Kast, was a SHAREHOLDER in Ueno's holding company until 2025.
And the man he picked to run the central bank in 2023 used to run Ueno.
Within 24 hours:
• the central bank chief signed his resignation after Peña asked for it
• Ueno's CEO handed himself in to police, 5 more executives DETAINED
• crowds in central Asunción demanding Peña's exit
• the opposition pushing to impeach him
