Less than six months after Bromley residents voted, a Reform Councillor has already left the party to sit as an independent! 🫣 The evidence is clear: Reform aren’t a serious party, able to stand up for residents at a time of real challenge in local government.

✍️This morning, Leader of Bromley Council, Cllr Colin Smith, wrote to the Chancellor and Secretary of State for Housing, Communities & Local Government. He implored them - and Bromley’s Labour MPs - to stop cuts that reduced Government funding by £22 million. Read more 👇

By 2028, Labour will slash funding to Bromley Council by £30 million. That’s why we’re delighted to see Kemi Badenoch take the Government to Court over proposed funding cuts to Councils. Read more below 👇 bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cw4g…

.@kevinhollinrake is quite right. The Labour government has changed local government funding to deliberately punish previously low tax Councils. Many, including Wandsworth and Bromley, are facing cuts that will either mean large tax rises or bankruptcy. This is on Labour
Lying by omission is still lying, Ben You conveniently forgot to mention that Burnham, Rayner and Co. have just changed the funding formula to raid Wandsworth (and other frugally-run councils) by £84m per annum or more We’re challenging this - you’re playing dumb games

Bromley is facing massive cuts from this Labour Government too. We will receive £22.2m less in Government grants by 2028/29, the 6th highest reduction in London.

Exactly this ⬇️is what is happening to Bromley Council. Well done @Katie_Lam_MP for raising the profile of unfair funding. The reverse is also true, the higher your Council Tax the more funding you get. It is the ethos of this government to punish efficiency. @KemiBadenoch @GarethBaconMP @PeterTFortune @LiamConlon2 @BromleyTories @KateLymer @ThomasFTurrell @JoshCW_politics @we_are_LBL @NewsShopper @zatzi @MarkJLittlewood @reporterboy @UkPolitoons @cristo_radio
If you vote for lower council tax in your area, the Government will punish your council by cutting their funding. There's nothing "fair" about this. Burnham says that he believes in local democracy - but clearly not when people vote to keep more of their own money.

STOP KEIR STARMER'S PONY CULL 👉 SaveThePonies.com
This is total madness from another unaccountable quango. The government must overrule Natural England and stop it immediately. Keir Starmer is on his way to making his last acts in office the shameful underfunding of our military and the mass slaughter of Dartmoor ponies.

Reminder: the £2 billion of gold Gordon Brown sold when he was Chancellor would be worth £44 billion today.
Today I’m pleased to appoint @GordonBrown as my Special Envoy on Global Finance and Cooperation. As Britain’s longest-serving Chancellor, Gordon is well placed to work with our international allies to build a stronger Britain and boost our country’s security and resilience.

No you won’t Laila. Alex Wilson (Reform Assembly Member) didn’t vote with the conservatives when we put it to the vote in City Hall. Honesty is required when it comes to the Green Belt. The Conservatives are the ones that will protect the Green Belt and Labour certainly won’t!
In Havering admiring our beautiful Green Belt. Reform will always protect this 🩵
