So, like, do you want us to stop messing with your elections, or not? The mixed messages do not stop.

If he keeps saying things like that, it will become impossible for Canadians to pay for their own drinks in any bar in the democratic world.

My reaction to last night's result in my hometown:
"A vote for Chow was, if nothing else, a vote that didn’t care about what Toronto’s Jewish community has suffered. In the overwhelming majority of cases, I suspect people never even thought about it at all."
This level of ignorance deserves its own level.
Wow.
🚨 JUST NOW: President Trump congratulates both British Columbia Conservative leader Lorne Doerkson and Quebec's Paul St-Pierre Plamondon after MASSIVE provincial election wins dealt a crushing DOUBLE BLOW to Canadian PM Mark Carney and the Left
INCREDIBLE!
"Congratulations to Lorne Doerkson on his Big Victory. Conservatives are moving strong in Canada! President"
"Congratulations to Paul St-Pierre Plamondon on his WIN!"
In British Columbia, left-wing NDP Premier David Eby called a snap election and just got ousted by Conservatives
While Parti Quebecois leader St-Pierre Plamondon swept Quebec earlier this month in a major rebuke to the Liberals

Not a member in good standing in the @ABProsperityPrj.
So odd.
I remain a proud author of the Firewall letter - more Alberta, less Ottawa.
Sadly, @ABDanielleSmith, with her referendum stunt, has set back these ideas for a generation.
As I predicted she would: open.substack.com/pub/thelin…
Referendum results aren't "binding," UCP says. But voters said they don't want more autonomy from Ottawa. Will Smith pay attention? Column. calgaryherald.com/opinion/co… #ableg #abpoli #cdnpoli #yyc #yeg #abreferendum
A quick reminder that Albertans voted “No” to questions 8 and 9 which was a vote of confidence in @MarkJCarney and a vote of non-confidence in you and your attempts to convince the federal government to bend laws to Alberta’s benefit.
Sadly.
Alberta supports Conservative MP David McKenzie’s Bill C-264 to repeal the federal Oil Tanker Moratorium Act and remove barriers preventing our responsibly produced energy from reaching global markets. Repealing the ban would open the door to crude-by-rail exports through Prince Rupert, giving Alberta another route to reach customers around the world.
Our oil to the United States is selling at a significant discount at a disadvantage to the entire country. The only effective way to close that gap is to increase exports off our western coast and get more customers competing for our energy. For decades, limited access to tidewater has left Alberta heavily dependent on a single customer, putting our oil at a competitive disadvantage and reducing the value of our resources.
The Trans Mountain Expansion has helped open new markets, particularly in Asia, but we need more pipelines and more access to tidewater. Pacific Link will help increase our export capacity, but we also need to remove the federal tanker ban to unlock opportunities through Prince Rupert. Global demand for energy continues to grow, and Alberta has the resources to help meet it.
Alberta holds the fourth-largest proven oil reserves in the world, and developing those resources benefits all Canadians. They help fund hospitals, schools, critical infrastructure and social programs across the country, while creating long-term economic opportunities for Indigenous communities through investment and co-ownership in major projects.
Canada cannot become a global energy superpower while federal policies continue to stand in the way of getting our energy to the world. Repealing the tanker ban is an important step toward securing better prices for our resources and building a stronger, more prosperous Canada.

Canada has the critical minerals the world needs.
We’re matching Ontario’s $1 billion investment to build road infrastructure to reach the Ring of Fire. To unlock our critical minerals supply chain. To create up to 70,000 jobs.
The MAGA-aligned party in B.C. is called One B.C. They got 1.5 percent of the vote.
Like you, they are an embarrassment to the concept of conservatism.
I’ve been spending a lot more time in Toronto these days, including among members of the increasingly unsettled and angry Toronto Jewish community.
Thanks @mattgurney, for an important column.

So proud of my colleague and friend @BenWoodfinden for his enormous contribution to Canadian conservatism.
Last night British Columbia elected a majority Conservative government for the first time in a century. British Columbians wanted change, and voted for it in a big way.
Playing a part in this campaign as Director of Communications has been one of the coolest things i've ever done. An incredible team that had to be put together on the fly, and pulled off a truly remarkable accomplishment. I'm so proud of so many people.
The future looks bright for BC.
Thanks @brianlilley and @TedMortonMLA for a fun conversation about Alberta and the recent referendums.
I even got to talk about my dad spitting skittles (which made my mom laugh).

I've been lucky to work on advertising that helped elect premiers across the country, but this one is really special. Lorne stepped up to the plate when it counted and showed up in a big way. He's warm, calm, kind, patient, he made it easy. Congratulations, @LDoerkson!
The MAGA party in BC is called One BC. They got 1.5 percent of the vote. More than Trump would get, I suspect.
