The Persons Case (1929) didn’t give Canadian women the vote. They’d already been voting federally for more than a decade by then. If you’re gonna do performative feminism, do it better.

Hi AvH. Ill-advised to dismiss them as ill-informed & delusional. They’re fellow Albertans and likely once proud Cdns. You mightn’t agree with them. But they’re no less Albertan than we are. Dismissing them—as Ott/Tor/Mtl folks do—intensifies their demand for change.
NO smart Albertans sympathize with ill-informed and delusional people who do not understand how lucky they are to be Canadians.

Alberta can do what it does best. Lead. We’re not leavers. We’re leaders. While I sympathize with fellow Albertans who are fed up & want out, I’m joining the fight to right the Cdn ship. I owe it to my adult kids and 8.66 grands.

Rupture indeed. Excuse for economic & infrastructure constipation? Or jet fuel?

This is an exceptionally fine appointment. nationalpost.com/news/former… Dawn Farrell is a dedicated Albertan and Canadian. And a real leader who makes things happen. Talks little and gets stuff done.

Listening to @QR77Radio @ShayeGanam is an excellent talk radio host. But could we please eliminate the words “you know” from on air conversations?

I'm not saying supply doesnt matter - I am arguing that targeted density is a better solution than a density-free-for all. More supply doesn't automatically translate to increased affordability and aggravating residents in existing neighbourhoods is short-sighted as well as unnecessary. I maintain that blanket rezoning is lazy planning that fails to deliver as promised.

The group Canadians for Free Enterprise have decided to release a series of statements in the next few days on why they are endorsing@PierrePoilievre for Prime Minister. They’ve asked me to share them. In this fourth piece, Mary Throop and Bill McFarland share their views.

Kudos to AB govt ⁦and ⁦@DaleNally_AB⁩ for this. In keeping with privatizing liq stores 32yrs ago, govt shd not decide when it’s the consumers who shd choose. Smart move. calgaryherald.com/business/l…

Serious proof that Mark Carney speaks with forked tongue. Shameful. Specially for a guy who grew up in Alberta.
Sneaky Mark Carney: In Western Canada he says he would use “emergency powers” to force through energy projects over the objections of provincial governments. Then in Quebec, he says he would not go against the provincial gov’t. One thing in English, the exact opposite in French. He’s two-faced and cannot be trusted. He’s Just like Justin.

A brilliant eulogy to friend George H W Bush from friend Alan Simpson. youtu.be/Rgl9cCRUAEs?si=DKvK… And the best line is at minute 9: “Those who travel the high road of humility in DC are not bothered by heavy traffic” True in 2018. Oh so much truer in 2024.

Let’s not ignore the ‘gimmicks’ @cafreeland brought us during her FinMin tenure. And the ever increasing spending she didn’t wince at. Til now. Applaud her ‘finding a spine’ (after being fired) but she was FinMin as Canada became an economic and productivity basket case.
