Ofcom should be abolished and all of its staff sacked. It's difficult to understand how anyone could, in good conscience, work for such a vile censorship organisation. Perhaps some of them are quasi-Bolsheviks who think the state should tightly restrict freedom of speech.

🚨BREAKING: All Britons may need ID to use social media, the UK's online safety regulator today announces “This plan for a government ‘social media ban’ is a national ID system by the back door. Both the government and Ofcom have admitted that children will get around the ban, which means the real effect will be normalising adults and children alike to hand over their passports just to get online. Hundreds of thousands of people without ID, who tend to be poorer people, and many more who don’t want to risk handing their passports over to foreign tech companies will be locked out of huge parts of the internet. The plan will kill anonymity online, whilst the UK’s culture of speech policing is reaching a crisis point. The policy is painfully misguided, an Orwellian assault on free speech and privacy, and will make children no safer at all. The false illusion that children aren’t on social media will cause the companies to abandon all their child safety measures. The Government could be promoting meaningful safety measures and supporting parental controls that genuinely protect children - instead, they’re demanding government ID from the whole population just for uncensored internet access. It is authoritarian madness.” - Silkie Carlo | @silkiecarlo Read ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10…

Iran’s conditions have been repeatedly and clearly stated to the mediators. The carrot-and-stick approach has no effect on Iran. Progress can only be achieved once Iran’s seven conditions have been agreed upon.

Thailand revokes chief rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor’s citizenship Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul signed an order on October 28 revoking the Thai citizenship of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor, Thailand’s chief rabbi, citing his continued use of American nationality after naturalization. Kantor has led Chabad of Thailand since 1993. Chabad is a worldwide Orthodox Jewish movement headquartered in New York. The ministry cited a Department of Special Investigation finding that he used his American nationality to enter and leave Australia on 16 occasions, most recently on January 26, 2026. He became a Thai citizen in April 2013. The order said his conduct violated naturalization conditions and warranted revocation under Section 19(2) of the Nationality Act. It also cited potential harm to national security, the economy and society. #Thailand #Chabad

Russia showcases payment systems operating beyond Western control Russian banks and their foreign partners are already processing international payments without relying on Western financial systems, Kremlin Deputy Chief of Staff Maxim Oreshkin told President Vladimir Putin at the Russia-Africa forum in Moscow. "Just five years ago, we, like many countries, relied mainly on the dollar and euro for foreign trade," Oreshkin said, adding that Russian banks and their foreign partners now use digital technologies and nonbank financial institutions to process international payments. Finance Minister Anton Siluanov highlighted Russian company A7, which is preparing to offer cross-border payment services in Africa, with transactions processed "in one click" for a fee of just 0.3%. "Nobody can cut you off. From a technological standpoint, it's impossible to block such payments," Putin said, describing the system as sovereign, transparent, and capable of instantly converting between traditional and digital currencies.

Most Unit 731 leaders, including Shiro Ishii, received U.S. immunity in exchange for their data and faced no Tokyo Trial charges. They returned to civilian life in Japan; Ishii died free in 1959. The Soviets did try 12 lower-ranking members at the 1949 Khabarovsk trials, sentencing them to 2–25 years of labor. All remaining prisoners were released by 1956.

😖🤢 @CG_Romania

Back in 2010, the minimum wage was £12,064 and the 'higher earner' band started at £43,875. You only paid 40% tax once you were earning 3.6x the minimum wage. There was clear incentive to progress, learn and aspire for more. As things stand, you now start paying 40% tax once you earn £50,270 which is just 1.83x the minimum wage. If it was the same multiple as 2010, the 'higher earning' band would be £98,841 and everyone below this amount would be paying 20%. Someone on £98,841 is effectively losing out on £9714.20 net per year if the bandings had simply moved in line with previous multiples relative to minimum wage. This is one of the reasons why the middle class is being eroded and why there's a cost of living crisis in the UK.
An increase to £13.20p/h equates to a minimum wage of £27,456, based on a 40 hour week. Once you factor in employers NI and basic pension contributions, the MINIMUM cost to hire a 21 year old for a company would be £31,461. This is before you factor in any overarching business costs like office space, laptops, phone, software, training, support staff, vehicles etc. This is going to be devastating to SME's who cant put together a simple 12 month budget without the goalposts being moved & their margins squeezed. It'll also be catastrophic to youngsters opportunities because businesses will simply not be able to afford to hire them. What's also incredible is that anything above £50,270 is seen as 'high earnings' in the UK and is taxed at 40%! We are governed by financially and economically illiterate morons. This will not end well.

France’s Prime Minister sent a letter to Orange, SFR, Free and Bouygues telling them to prepare to block TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram and X for up to 12 hours if protests flared again. He asked them to keep it confidential. The government wanted the order delivered privately to each company, with nothing in the official journal. The public would get a press release 30 minutes before the block went live. It was the operators’ lawyers who asked whether shutting down four platforms nationwide was necessary or proportionate. Orange insisted on a formal, signed order. France’s top administrative court ruled the 2024 TikTok block in New Caledonia illegal last year. The government drew up a bigger one anyway. Staff were on call all weekend. Nobody pulled the switch this time, but they built it ready for the next one. reclaimthenet.org/france-sna…

The UK is just front running what will happen in the rest of the world: you'll either be on benefits, in a minimum wage job, or a high tax earner. No in-between.
Britain’s new minimum wage: £27,456 a year. Higher-rate income tax kicks in at £50,270. Wage compression the Soviet Union could only have dreamed of.

🚨EXCLUSIVE MICROSOFT LEAK: Employees are questioning if Microsoft is abusing H-1B and PERM programs. A Senior Director at MSFT (good friend of mine) just sent me internal messages between MSFT & some of its employees. Today, Microsoft just asked THOUSANDS of its employees to voluntarily resign, despite just reporting $133.7B in net income for FY26, up 31%. Employees are questioning why MSFT isn’t pro-actively downsizing by removing H1B employees before American workers. Other employees are asking why any employee cuts are being made when profits are so high. Fair question if ya ask me. See below to see all of the orgs being asked to voluntarily resign. This is absolutely going to impact Washington States workers.
