Plato and Kepler were right.
"It turns out that Plato’s conception about the element earth being made up of cubes is, literally, the statistical average model for real earth. And that is just mind-blowing.”

I would have destroyed their entire species for Steve after witnessing this. Squeezed them in my hand until their bones crunched and eyes popped out. It would have been gory and disgusting as fuck. For Steve.
Steve, a tiny dibbler at Perth Zoo, reportedly helped save his endangered species without ever becoming a father. Female dibblers prefer larger mates, and Steve was too small and apparently didn't smell appealing. Keepers used him as the first male females encountered during breeding trials. After meeting Steve, females found the next males more attractive and were more willing to mate. According to the zoo, Steve lived a long life as an unlikely conservation hero.

OSINToids and 3rd century Zoroastrians converging on the same epistemology regarding the signs & portents of military campaigns
The moon tells you something about potential US strikes in the next week.
Tonight it's 12% lit. Friday 6%, Saturday 2%, and on Sunday and Monday, 8 and 9 November, there's none at all. It stays a thin sliver until about the 11th, and that's the darkest stretch until December.
Darkness isn't the advantage it used to be. Both sides have night vision and radar, and cruise missiles and stealth bombers don't care about the moon. It's still a factor, though. It matters for anything flying low or working close in, and it makes it harder for the other side to spot and film what's coming.
The third carrier, Theodore Roosevelt, isn't due until the end of November. That doesn't rule out this window. An opening wave doesn't need it. Carriers decide how long a campaign can run, not when it starts. A strike now with the Roosevelt arriving as reinforcement is one reading. Waiting for it and the December dark period is the other.

If the Arab parties did not at least extract an opening of Gaza to aid for this....Muslims and Arab humiliation would reach levels unseen since the Prophet (PBUH) time when Romans and Persians used Arabs as cannon fodder
The Joint List alliance of Arab-led parties says it will back Israeli opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot to form a new government after last week’s election.

Being right years ahead of others isn’t nearly as satisfying as people think. Nobody apologizes for treating you like a crazy. They just come back years later, repeating what you told them as if it’s some groundbreaking revelation because they finally heard it from someone else.
The funniest thing about these secularists is that Pakistan's ruling class are not “mullahs”. Their elites have been full of libs for decades. They have the power.
But they want to fantasize about how Pakistan would be a paradise if only the “mullahs” weren't around.

Your problem precisely is the articulation of the "islamist" narrative in a language that doesn't fit your idea of how a politically charged muslim should argue, classic neo-oriental tendencies. which is why you have to box muslims into "frantic mullahs-good sec-lib muslim" binaries, you're unable to fathom any political commentary beyond the secular-liberal-humanist paradigm, which you assume to be universal and neutral.
Kindly please don't punch above your intellectual pay-grade, stick to doing podcasts within your bubble.
I guess an ideology that justifies modern hedonism as more “advanced” has more appeal than boring proposals on industrial policy or land reform.
This also applies to some naive Islamists who think piety and religious orthodoxy are a substitute for things like economic planning.

Okay but how do mullahs get in the way of building steel mills and nuclear power plants? Why is Pakistan not self-sufficient in steel and suffer from energy insecurity? What part of the population’s fundamental incuriousness impede the irreligious elite from building the above?

Bahmanyar b. al-Marzuban (d. 1066) was a Zoroastrian philosopher-physician who embraced Islam.
He was Ibn Sina’s student & wrote Kitab at-Tahsil, sending it to his pagan uncle.
The book’s passages are quoted by Sheikh al-Azhar Hasan al-‘Attar & Alusi in his tafsir Ruh al-Ma‘ani.

This is why you take these surveys with a grain of salt. The options are “democratic rule with accountability” or “shariah without elections”. As if elections/ accountability and Islamic rule are mutually exclusive. Blatant bias to skew the results.

>A commentator on a Shia book giving his opinion on tafdil among the Sahabah
Some Muslims viewed 'Alī as more entitled to the Caliphate than the rest of the Prophet's ﷺ companions, and that he was the most deserving of it due to his kinship. Ibn Abī al-Ḥadīd, the commentator on Nahj al-Balāghah, mentions that among the Companions were those who favored 'Alī and held that the Caliphate was his right. Among them were:
'Ammār ibn Yāsir, Al-Miqdād ibn al-Aswad, Abū Dharr al-Ghifārī, Salmān al-Fārisī, Jābir ibn 'Abd Allāh, Ubayy ibn Ka'b, Ḥudhayfah, Abū Ayyūb al-Anṣārī, Sahl ibn Ḥunayf, 'Uthmān ibn Ḥunayf, Abū al-Haytham ibn al-Tayyihān, Al-'Abbās ibn 'Abd al-Muṭṭalib and his sons, and the entirety of Banū Hāshim.
