Midnight Network has had a busy few weeks since opening its mainnet to developers.
@MidnightNtwrk, the privacy chain backed by @IOGroup, has stacked up several milestones over the last 30 days.
Here are some key developments:
[Oct 5] Anyone can now deploy smart contracts on Midnight mainnet, no review needed.
[Oct 9] Cardano founder @IOHK_Charles predicted Midnight will grow bigger than Zcash.
[Oct 13] The Midnight Foundation became a founding member of the Quantum Alliance, a group of nine crypto firms building defenses against future quantum computers.
[Oct 27] Midnight passed 1 million total transactions, with daily activity up from about 130 to nearly 48,000 in a month.
[Oct 28] Midnight published a roadmap through early 2027, with NIGHT staking on the list.

If you guys want the real inside scoop, Charles is done with Cardano because the Cardano Foundation stands in his way on everything and Emurgo is completely incompetent.
Midnight is his way to shave the visceral fat that has held him back.

The culture wars have gotten to a point where, with no evidence, knowledge of the crash, or even a basic understanding of plane crashes, people feel comfortable dancing on the graves of others, confidently citing DEI as the cause of the crash. 9 people are dead because a plane had a freak icing event, followed by a high-altitude overspeed and loss of pitch control. The horizontal stabilizer detached during the 60-degree bank. The male Christian pilot was flying. He was heard on the ATC radio saying the Lord's Prayer.
No pilot alive could have recovered from this event. It's guaranteed death.
I really hate to say what I’m about to say right now…
but if I got on a flight and this was the pilot, I genuinely think I would have said “I’m so sorry, I can’t fly today” and gotten off that jet.
I usually do not judge people by their gender, age, or anything like this but if my life is literally in your hands…I don’t know man, it’s very different.

My prediction: $NIGHT makes a parabolic move similar to $ZEC, driven by the rapid pace of ecosystem expansion and accelerating transaction activity. From there, I think we could see capital rotate into $ADA, bringing Cardano back from the ashes.
Honestly, I struggle to see how Cardano stages a meaningful comeback without Midnight becoming a major success. Midnight could be the catalyst that reignites the entire Cardano ecosystem.

For years, they mocked Cardano for moving too slowly. They ridiculed Charles Hoskinson for insisting on rigorous research, formal methods, and security-first engineering.
But here's something the crypto industry desperately needs to understand:
Speed means nothing if everything you've built can be compromised overnight.
Every exploit, every compromised wallet, and every catastrophic security failure reminds us that innovation without discipline comes at a terrible price.
Cardano was never supposed to win a race to the finish line. It was built to endure.
And Midnight carries that philosophy forward, bringing privacy, selective disclosure, and security-conscious architecture into an increasingly dangerous digital world.
Neither is immune to vulnerabilities. No system is. But designing for security from the beginning is fundamentally different from treating it as an afterthought.
The future of blockchain won't belong simply to whoever builds the fastest. It will belong to those who earn and preserve trust.
That is why I believe in Cardano and Midnight.
The world doesn't need another blockchain that promises everything.
It needs infrastructure it can depend on.

It's so fucking crazy that crypto started with decentralization, uncensorability and digital cash but somehow we ended up with most money on exchanges, the most hyped blockchains being freaking robinhood chain & other centralized chains and the main use-case of crypfo being gambling & mirroring the dollar on-chain - but not like digital cash, no we also added freezability. So it's actually worse than cash.
And when you talk to people working in the space and tell them you're there for decentralization, somehow you're the weird one.
The majority of this industry has seriously gone down then wrong path.
