R.I.P to a @dallasathletics legend!!!
Freddie James of Dallas’ Carter High, a Texas coaching icon, dies at age 89 #txhsfb
James coached Carter from 1982 to 1995 and helped turn the Dallas ISD program into the most dominant in Texas during that span.

📺DEBUT: ‘Friday Night Lights’ premiered 20 years ago, October 3, 2006, on NBC

It's Friday night.
Bus is running.
Starting QB isn't there.
Coach calls home.
"Junior has a club soccer game tonight. We paid a lot of money for that team. He's going there instead."
What happens next?
New starting quarterback.
People treat this as obvious in football and outrageous in cross country.
The sport changed.
The definition of a team did not.

Never be afraid to check on people. Life is hard, it's ok to say things aren't ok. Doesn't make you weak or soft.
Not hating at all, but this need to be talked about!
Private Equity has fully encroached on Youth Sports.
They are preying on the fears of parents, convincing them that their kids are behind their peers, and forcing the kids to specialize WAY too early.
They manipulate parents into paying outrageous fees for travel teams, showcase tournaments, and bogus recruiting services.
Private Equity DOES NOT care about your kids.
They don't care about the development of young athletes.
They don't even care about sports at all.
They ONLY care about profit.
They worship the almighty dollar.
They will promise you the world while they shake you down for every penny.
Resist the grift. Push back on the lies.

Sorry atheists, but…
- God is sovereign
- The Bible is true
- Hell is a real place
- Jesus is the Messiah

Older coaches if you have a young coach that is really good, help them be great. Don’t hold them back because they need to pay their dues. Help them to one day become better than you. Grow the future!
