Apart from leaving him out of the match day squad a few times, Wenger let it slide cos he was winning us games. As soon as he stopped winning us games in the half season, Wenger let him go.
He had no credit in the bank at United & didn’t gain any so it was never going to work cos he couldn’t get away with that stuff anymore.
