The rise of fascism relies on the death of cultural institutions and art. And the loss of the Kennedy Center includes the loss of jobs in a city that has seen our local economy decimated this past year.

We hosted a School Day of Action for #HandsOffNYC yesterday—and what a success! NYers coming together in solidarity is truly inspiring. There are still events happening across the NYC today and tomorrow: mobilize.us/handsoffnyc/map

In an effort to divide us, Black folks are told our politics aren't rooted in liberatory movements and that historically we haven't been connected to socialism or progressivism. They’re wrong. Yesterday at @cbcfinc, I hosted a panel on the Black radical tradition to recenter the fact that so many movements thoughout history have been to the left of the establishment. The coordinated attacks we’re seeing on our democracy, on Black politics, on economic justice are a reminder that the pathway forward is written in our past. Thank you to the incoming members who served as our panelists, to our moderator, and to everyone who joined us for a powerful discussion.

Notice how little of this is in quotes lol bc it’s not his words lol
Now that he won’t stop talking, the folks who told us Hasan Piker is a serious voice who should be listened to ought to let us know which of these positions we’re supposed to take seriously: 1. That “pound for pound,” America is worse than al-Qaeda - a ridiculous statement on a normal day, but particularly vile the same week we’re reflecting on the loss of 3,000 Americans on the 25th anniversary of 9/11. 2. That Communist China’s repressive regime is the “model” for America. 3. That Mao was “a great man of history” while the collapse of the Soviet Union was "one of the greatest catastrophes of the 20th century." The great thing about America is that everyone is entitled to their opinions and free to express them, however dumb or immoral. That includes ‘Comrade’ Piker. The rest of us are just as free - obligated even - to call out this vile, hateful speech that only divides America. axios.com/2026/09/17/hasan-p…

It was bad enough when Mt. Sinai capitulated to the Trump administration and ended gender-affirming care for minors. Now NYU Langone has done the same. justice.gov/opa/pr/doj-secur… NYC's leaders say the city fights for trans rights. But what will they do about this?

NEWS: AOC is planning to campaign across New York in coming weeks — Buffalo, Syracuse, Ithaca — and just gave $300k to state coordinated campaign. Moves come as she weighs whether she will run for Senate in NY or president in 2028. nytimes.com/2026/09/18/us/po…

The quote vs the headline is actually a tremendous example of why normal people resent and distrust corporate media.

oh this is why they were farming the interview. i give a nuanced answer about acts of terror this admin has caused and they clickbait it. he asked, i gave a nuanced answer. we’ve armed al qaeda since 9/11, we made its former commander the president of syria.
During his interview with Axios, Hasan Piker was asked if he thinks America is worse than al-Qaeda: "Pound for pound, as far as the number of deaths, yes. We've caused tremendous terror all around the world. I think that that is not only terror that we are waging on regular civilians in nations in the periphery, but it's also having consequences on ourselves. It's having dramatic consequences on the home front. One clear example of this is what we did in Minab [Iran]. There's no distinction between blowing up a school, triple-tapping it with tomahawk missiles. If you're killing 140 school girls, that is an act of terror. This doesn't mean that all Americans are terrorists, but the reality of the matter is we have to create an environment of accountability to ensure things like that never happen again."

DSA so powerful! DSA just delusional! Hasan so powerful! Hasan just a streamer! Which is it?!? In 2022, what power did DSA & Hasan have over the electorate in PA senate race in the primary? DSA didn’t endorse so there was not a ground game from us. Why pretend they are *the ones* who brought the Fetterman win (by 34 pts)?
Who brought us Fetterman?

If you claim to be a Democrat and you spend every day fighting DSA instead of fascism—you simply do not care about democracy.
Replying to @TradeUnionJake

A reminder that — despite receiving the cold shoulder from his party's establishment — Zohran Mamdani is overwhelmingly popular with the Democratic rank-and-file. There is no better case study in the disconnect between party elites and the base than Mamdani's sustained rise.
Mamdani 38-33 *nationally* with likely voters. And 65-4 with Democrats. Remarkable.
