BREAKING: Vice President JD Vance has canceled his planned Friday visit to St. Cloud, Minnesota.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed the cancellation tonight. Vance was scheduled to hold a news conference focused on fraud.
No reason has been given.
James O’Keefe has released a lengthy video responding to felony charges in Minnesota. Part of it shows what he says was his team’s training before an undercover operation testing the state’s voter vouching system.
Prosecutors say O’Keefe and Cam Higby illegally used other voters’ identities during the August primary. Both dispute the charges.
Here’s some of his response, along with audio from the operation and video of what he describes as the training beforehand.
NEW TONIGHT: James O’Keefe is pushing back after being charged with felonies in Minnesota over his team's undercover operation at Minneapolis polling places.
He calls it a “landmark First Amendment case” and says his team received training on what they could legally say and do inside polling locations. His new video includes footage he identifies as that training.

James O’Keefe on the Felony Charges for Exposing Fraud in Minnesota:
This is not political. It is fundamental. It is about whether citizens still have the right to question their government. This is now a landmark First Amendment case, and every American’s right to speak truth to power has been put on the line.
Weaponized lawfare does not work against me. It has always backfired on the people who come after me. Most people find criminal charges and lawsuits stressful; the process becomes a form of punishment. But I love this process because it gives me the opportunity to expose injustice at the highest levels. My foundation will be indemnifying members of the Justice League, including @camhigby for their lawful reporting.
I’m calling on all Americans, and especially all journalists, to stand united on a message to the prosecutors in Minnesota: the politics of fear will not prevail in the United States of America.
PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT: A man accused of trying to pull a woman out of her St. Paul apartment through a window is on the run.
He’s also facing sexual assault charges in a separate case involving a minor.
Police want him found. Watch and share. Do not approach him. Call 911 if seen. @KSTP

The Hastings School Board is considering restrictions on political, religious and ideological displays by district employees. Some parents and teachers spoke out against the proposal tonight. A vote could come by year's end. @CallanGrayNews reporting tonight.
Doesn't get much lousier than stealing from a cemetery.
A Minnesota man is pleading for the return of a Viking statue he and his wife bought more than 40 years ago. He had it attached to the headstone where they plan to be buried near Mille Lacs Lake.
His wife now has dementia and is nearing the end of her life. He hasn't had the heart to tell her someone stole it.
Here's hoping whoever took it has a conscience and returns it.

A St. Paul man jumped onto a moving school bus after the driver suffered a medical emergency, then managed to stop it with 18 kids aboard.
No children were hurt. Watch the awesome surveillance video and hear how he stopped it. @KSTP
A Wisconsin woman gets what appears to be a Minnesota food assistance card she never requested. Scam or state mistake?
Our @BenryNews checked the website and phone number included in the mailing. Both match Minnesota's official EBT information.
But is the card legitimate? And why was it sent to her?
More than 24 hours after we first reached out, the state agency overseeing food assistance has declined an interview and has yet to answer our questions.
Here's Ben's latest report on 5 Eyewitness News.
