Sometimes the simplest idea is the best one. The more we tell the story behind LFG.gm, the clearer the gap becomes. A personal agent built around getting out there and doing things. Therapy and journaling have their place. But there's room for AI focused on getting people together, taking action, getting fit, and being unapologetic about wanting to make money. Something with more drive and attitude. An agentic alarm clock might sound silly, but the last thing anyone needs is another notification buried among 200 others or another reason to spend hours chatting with AI. LFG is for the human moments you can't miss. The ones that make you say "let's fucking go" out loud.

When should an agent interrupt your day? Has it gathered useful context, or is it just adding noise? We want the final say. Just better information. 1. Luma happy hour. Who’s going? Worth the trip? 2. Token or stock pumps. Why? Real news or a scam? 3. Surprise show tonight. Tickets left? Are you free? Which friends are in? Getting your attention is half the job. Helping you make the most of that moment is the other half.

Congrats @tonydevincenzi @jgreze! 🥂 Your Townie knows what's happening. Now it can wake the whole crew! Create social alarms across devices, triggered by events, not just the clock. Big moments deserve more than a buried notification. lfg.gm/agents/town
Jean-Denis Greze was CTO of Plaid. His next startup, an AI tax product for small businesses, brought in nearly $1M in revenue its first year, and he projected $2.5 to $3M the next. He shut it down anyway. The reason: in the age of AI, it was never going to be venture scale. Incumbents could use the same technology to automate tax prep for their existing customers faster than a startup could win market share. Tax is also sold once a year, so he had about a one-month window to pivot before the door closed. The pivot became Town, an AI assistant that works from your email and calendar. It found product-market fit fast enough that Ben Horowitz messaged a16z's Alex Rampell to say it "changed my life." In this conversation, Alex and Jean-Denis cover: - How to know when to kill a business that's working on paper - Why Town competes with OpenAI and Anthropic, the companies it buys its tokens from - Why the "forward deployed engineer" model gets worse as AI gets better - How a $1/month AI routine can save a restaurant thousands - What agents mean for Amazon, advertising and the future of shopping 0:57 How Ben Horowitz discovered Town 2:20 Why Town started with AI tax prep 3:55 Why tax couldn't be venture scale 6:30 Shutting down a working business 10:24 The customer ask that became Town 13:35 Why Town built for users before IT 16:18 AI's iPhone moment at work 21:28 Jevons paradox for executive assistants 23:13 Town as a "token allocation machine" 28:00 How Town tailors itself to each job 34:03 Competing with your token suppliers 42:24 Staying off the AI labs' radar 44:42 Why AI isn't spreading evenly yet 52:32 How agents break the ad model 55:35 The friction humans actually enjoy 57:05 Why supply aggregators lose to agents YouTube: youtu.be/o_5f4N6Nq80 @jgreze @TownAI @arampell

LFG is the Social Alarm Clock MCP. Any agent can plan your social calender, but can they rally the group chat? A few ways @instinct users would use it: Dinner date: "make an alarm for 6:30 Friday so we leave on time," on both phones. The group chat: "make an alarm for Saturday’s party and send the link," and the whole chat joins one alarm. Family: "remind everyone Grandma lands at 5," and every phone in the family chat rings at 4:15. See it: lfg.gm/more-moments-together

That "holy crap, it's alive" moment you spend your weekend building toward. We just felt that. It's the best AI lets you build what you've wanted for years but couldn't afford Then people and their agents bring their own ideas, use it together and inspire us to go further LFG

Love @Celesteamadon's approach to dating: bringing people together IRL. So much tech keeps us doing life solo, hunched over in our AI chats. We also want LFG to give us more reasons to get together, morning walks, meeting friends, showing up for each other, online and IRL.

Happy Caturday! We're cooking today. What you can now set up with a single prompt in your favorite AI chat (via MCP) solves a real pain in a ridiculously fun way. We're building LFG Alarm to be the go-to monitoring and social alarm system for the personal AI era. Less checking. Fewer missed moments. More time for what matters.

Friday night builder thoughts: incident.io raised $62M last year. A major turning point was launching On-call. Within a year, nearly two-thirds of its customers had moved away from legacy paging tools. We think about that while building a social, consumer AI experience with LFG Alarm. Engineering teams understand that when something happens, sending a message is only the beginning. You need the right people to notice and come together in time. There's a consumer version of that. A surprise show. A long-awaited token launch. Rallying the group chat at a festival. Your kid's school performance in 10 minutes. Moments you don’t want to miss, scattered across apps, posts, and group chats. Rarely wrapped in a neat calendar invite and drowned out by push notifications. With incident.io, it's alert fatigue and the challenge of coordinating people when it matters. In everyday life, we face our own version. The moments we care about compete with every email, sale, and app update on our phones. A social agent should understand the difference. What can wait? What's worth interrupting you for? Who should be part of it: your partner, five close friends, or anyone who wants to join? And how should it reach them? Those details matter. You're not going to call 30 friends individually. A calendar invite is too much ceremony. A link in the group chat can disappear in seconds. Sometimes you just need a fun, simple way to say: "It's happening. Get in here!" With LFG, we're building an agent that watches for those moments and helps rally your people while they’re happening. And because this is your social life, getting your attention should be fun. Memes, music, video of your friend's voice yelling "GET IN HERE." Something between a notification you miss and a phone call you have to answer. With a million things happening online and in real life, an agent should know what deserves your attention. A chance to save, make money, catch a trend early, or be there with your people. That's the kind of social, consumer AI we want to build. The same care Incident engineering puts into "something's wrong," applied to "you don’t want to miss this. Let's fucking go!" Back to building...
