Police in saner countries have body cameras, and people also record them during confrontations.
Except if you have a transparency issue, this shouldn't even bother anyone. Naija police require all the camera spotlight
“Can we come to your office and record you? Can you record in the courtroom? Don’t turn our police officers into content.”
— IGP Disu speaks against the growing practice of Nigerians recording police officers while they are carrying out their duties.
According to the IGP, some police officers are in thick forests and on highways carrying out their duties to protect Nigerians, yet people are increasingly concerned with recording officers and turning their activities into content.
He questioned whether Nigerians would accept police officers coming into their offices or recording them while they are working.
The IGP said the issue of Nigerians recording police officers is becoming a concern and called for a balance between documenting incidents and allowing officers to carry out their duties without being turned into social media content.

Halleluyah Challenge × Awakening is such a powerful collaboration. Pastor Nathaniel Bassey and Pastor Bolaji Idowu in the same atmosphere? I’m genuinely expectant for what this night will bring. #Awakening2026 @pastorbolaji

Big brother you see the result of not addressing Nomy’s insolence? Now everybody thinks they can yell and rebel just for the sake of it. Well, I guess, have fun. #Bigbrother #bbnaija

@Lady_ron allow me to enter my office o. They will sack me inside this car o 🤣 @ClassicFM943
It’s the Production I blame. They too don't understand entertainment. We are in early weeks… it should have been only one person going home today. Show the bottom two so that supporters will wake up with her name in the bottom 2. Mercedes has been showing herself all week.
