🖋️ In MVP, exercise-ind. VA was assoc. with more advanced mitral V abnormalities, including MAD, and a ⬆️ risk of severe arrhythmic events during fw-up. Exercise testing alongside clinical and echo assessment may provide valuable complementary information for risk stratification.

Another terrific meeting I had to pull out of this season, but how about this recently activated trial site? Congrats Drs Rao, Silverman @MUSC #ELEVATE-HFpEF is a global double-blinded #RCT evaluating the efficacy & safety of a personalized elevated #pacing rate in ppl w #HFpEF
Permanent Pacing but not for Bradycardia 👉🏻Super interesting discussion on what can be achieved by clever pacing @experienceHRX First: - physiological pacing #LBBAP and #BBP Second: - optimal heart rate and optimized AV coupling This opens options for hypertension and HFpEF treatment … A lot of studies: MODERATOR MYPACE DAVID ELEVATE Also clear call for interdisciplinary collaboration. @JonPicciniSr @PrashSanders @TinaBaykaner45 @brynndechert30 @MehakDhande @DavidDuncker @J_Hendriks1 @jasoncjacobson @RCKowalMD @Dominik_Linz Mike Lloyd, Olivier Manfredi, @drsuneet @Drdevignair @jenniferavari @ba_steinberg @EmmaSvennberg @KTamirisaMD @NTrayanova @leftbundle #Xplorers2026 #HRXLive #HRX2026

🫀 Slogans are easy Linking a scan to event risk? Easy too But proving screening or targeted testing drives meaningful better care and actually cuts MIs and deaths? That is the very hard part Across 9 RCTs, the needle barely moved 👀📉🤷 A catchphrase isn't evidence

Fifty-five observational studies including over 7 million patients were analyzed. Statin use significantly reduced the risk of dementia compared to nonusers (hazard ratio [HR] 0.86; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.82 to 0.91; p<0.001). It was also associated with reduced risks of AD Rosuvastatin demonstrated the most pronounced protective effect for all cause dementia among specific statins (HR 0.72; 95% CI: 0.60 to 0.88). The findings underscore the neuroprotective potential of statins in dementia prevention. Despite the inherent limitations of observational studies, the large dataset and detailed sub group analyses enhance the reliability of our results. @nationallipid @foundationofnla @society_eas @ASPCardio @FamilyHeartFdn @fhpatienteurope #statins
Statin use linked to lower risks of all‐dementia, AD, and VaD. No longer a question

When relationships matter more than scale: fragment distances improve chromophore prediction Two molecules can contain similar chemical groups and still behave very differently because those groups sit in different places within the molecular structure. That is the idea behind TDiMS. Instead of asking a large pretrained model to discover every long-range relationship from scratch, Hamada and coauthors explicitly represent pairs of molecular fragments and how far apart they are along the molecular graph. For chromophores, that turns out to be especially useful. Their optical properties depend not only on which functional groups are present, but also on how those groups are arranged relative to one another. For predicting the Stokes shift, the difference between the light a molecule absorbs and later emits, this simple distance-based representation improves over the second-best descriptor by 7.7% in one solvent and 14.1% in another, outperforming representations from pretrained models such as MoLFormer and MolCLR. The nice part is that the important features remain chemically meaningful. The model highlights specific pairs of molecular groups whose separation is linked to how electrons move through the molecule. For AI for Science, the useful point is broader: a good representation should encode the relationships that the science tells you matter. Sometimes that can be more valuable than simply scaling the model. Hamada et al., Nature Computational Science (2026), CC BY 4.0. doi.org/10.1038/s43588-026-0…
