1/3 Two months ago, the Mayor of Harare @JMafume promised that these structures along Kwayedza High School in Gazaland, Highfield, would be demolished within 24 hours. Unfortunately, that promise appears to have remained just that a promise.

NEWS | Harare circus must end, says Mafume
HARARE - Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume has ordered the immediate demolition of illegal concrete tuckshops at Kwayedza Secondary School in Highfield, branding the structures and embarrassment.
Mafume warned that the tuckshops harbor sinister motives and could fuel a growing drug crisis among students.
He told a full council meeting that the city has become a circus, vowing to put an end to the blatant abuse of council.

A leader who runs away from his own shadow, refuses to own his mistakes & turns legitimate critics into enemies creates division instead of unity. You cannot keep hotspotting people to distract from your own failures.A true leader confronts his mistakes, not those who expose them
OPPOSITION TO THE OPPOSITION…
Leading a credible alternative and genuinely challenging an entrenched dictatorship is a demanding, costly and often perilous undertaking. It is certainly no walk in the park.
It requires tenacity, conviction, courage, sacrifice and an unwavering commitment to the cause. Perhaps this is precisely why some find it easier to position themselves as the ‘opposition to the opposition’ rather than confront the difficult realities of challenging an entrenched system of power.
It is less costly, less demanding, less stressful and certainly less risky to be the opposition to the opposition.
But genuine political leadership demands more than criticism of those seeking change. It requires the courage to challenge the status quo, the discipline to build a credible alternative and the determination to translate the aspirations of citizens into a viable pathway to government.
The ultimate responsibility is not simply to oppose the opposition, but to confront the system that makes genuine opposition. Do better. Don’t just be the opposition to the opposition. #TheNew #FreshStart #Godisinit

I have a brother who migrated there, he was hardly surviving here, 2 years in Poland, earns good money, bought a Jaguar and a nice apartment.

Marry Mubaiwa Chiwenga,the former wife to Vice President CDGN Chiwenga , has been cleared of charges of attempted murder today 27 October 2026. She was being accused of trying to unalive his then husband Constantino Guveya Dominic Nyikadzino Chiwenga.
Soon after her aquittal by the courts , she had an interview with journalist Simba Chikanza of Zimeye.

Today, 29 October 2026, Bulawayo Mayor David Coltart led a high-powered delegation comprising the Deputy Mayor, Town Clerk, councillors and senior council officials on a tour of the Geo Pomona Waste Management facility in Harare.
The delegation witnessed the transformation of what was once an uncontrolled dumpsite into a modern waste management facility employing 1,514 people, with a sorting plant capable of handling up to 1,080 tonnes of waste daily.
Speaking after the tour, Mayor Coltart acknowledged the importance of such infrastructure for Bulawayo.
“There’s no doubt that Bulawayo needs a facility like this,” he said.
He further confirmed that discussions with Geo Pomona are ongoing, with the next stage focusing on financial feasibility and affordability for Bulawayo residents.
Geo Pomona continues to demonstrate Zimbabwe’s potential in modern waste management through local expertise, innovation and infrastructure development in line with Vision 2030 and NDS2.
