The drone did not do justice to the beauty and sheer size of this superstructure!
You have to see it to appreciate the scale of what is being built at Mabvuku Interchange.
Right, ndikunzwei futi muchiti Mabvuku Interchange ibridge. Tobatana collar! 😂
Apa panotokwana magonyeti 2 side by side, kuchisara ka space futi. That’s how massive this structure is!
Mabvuku Interchange is designed to improve traffic flow by expanding the road from 2 lanes to 4 lanes on each side, giving a total of 8 lanes.
Imimi murikuchema kuti the road is getting narrower, yet in fact, the road is being expanded. Road iyi yagara iri 2 lanes on each side. With this new interchange, each side rinenge rane 4 lanes: 2 lanes dzinenge dziripamusoro pe bridge, then dzimwe 2 dziripasi pe bridge.
How the 4 lanes on each side will work:
🔹 2 express lanes per side: These will carry through-traffic, allowing motorists to continue their journeys with fewer interruptions.
🔹 2 filtering lanes per side: These will channel vehicles towards Mabvuku, Epworth and town, separating traffic exiting towards these destinations from the express flow.
The whole idea is to separate traffic, reduce congestion and improve the movement of vehicles. Before criticizing the project, let’s first understand how it is designed to work. Progress sometimes requires us to look beyond what we see today and appreciate what is being built for tomorrow.

SHOCKING SCENES IN ZIMBABWEAN FOOTBALL! 😳🚨 A Division 2B League match turned ugly after Triple C Pigs FC players allegedly attacked the referee, with team management also implicated in the reported incident. The match was abandoned as police stepped in. How can referees be safe if those entrusted with the game turn against them?

President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Engagement and Re-engagement Policy continues to create opportunities for Zimbabwe to strengthen international partnerships.
The MoU signed by Cde Taurai Kandishaya and Russia’s Roscongress Foundation in Moscow is an example of how these relations can open doors for young people to exchange ideas, build business networks, access trade opportunities and develop skills. For Zimbabwean youths, international cooperation means greater opportunities to participate in economic development and contribute to the country’s Vision 2030.

Commonwealth readmission is about more than diplomatic recognition. It could create opportunities for Zimbabwean businesses, students, professionals and investors to strengthen international connections.
The goal must be to turn diplomacy into tangible economic benefits for ordinary citizens. Zimbabwe’s engagement with the world should always be guided by national development and the Vision 2030 ambition.

Got this from my political analyst friend and thought it could be insightful
Zimbabwe’s Commonwealth return: Strength in unity
Zimbabwe’s renewed engagement with the United Kingdom over its possible readmission into the Commonwealth represents a significant moment in the country’s diplomatic journey. Recent discussions led by Speaker of the National Assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, with British parliamentary leaders and the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association UK Executive Committee have brought fresh momentum to Harare’s long-standing ambition to re-join the community of nations it left in 2003. The meetings, including engagements with the House of Commons Speaker, Sir Lindsay Hoyle and Baroness Taylor of Bolton, demonstrate the value of parliamentary diplomacy in opening channels of dialogue and building bridges between nations. This development offers Zimbabwe an opportunity to advance its international engagement and strengthen its place in an increasingly interconnected world.
Rejoining the Commonwealth strengthens Zimbabwe’s global standing. Zimbabwe’s pursuit of Commonwealth readmission should be understood as an investment in the country’s international relationships, influence and future opportunities. Returning to this community would offer renewed opportunities to participate in discussions on global development, governance, trade, education and other issues of shared concern. The recent engagements involving Advocate Mudenda and British parliamentary leaders therefore help create the relationships and understanding necessary to advance the readmission process. The willingness of Sir Lindsay Hoyle to support Zimbabwe’s aspirations provides an opening for continued parliamentary dialogue, while discussions with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association demonstrate the potential value of institutional cooperation. Successful readmission would enable Zimbabwe to participate more fully in a broad international network and strengthen its diplomatic relationships.
Economic gains through international cooperation. In today’s interconnected global economy, no country can afford to overlook the advantages of constructive international cooperation. Zimbabwe has significant economic potential that requires stronger international partnerships, access to expertise and greater opportunities to connect local enterprises with regional and global markets. The Commonwealth includes advanced and developing countries through which member states can exchange commercial knowledge, explore investment opportunities and cooperate on development priorities. For Zimbabwe, renewed engagement with Commonwealth countries could help open doors for business-to-business cooperation, encourage investor dialogue and strengthen links between institutions. Zimbabwe stands to benefit considerably from working within a community of nations rather than attempting to pursue every international opportunity on its own. Cooperation allows countries to pool knowledge, share experience, coordinate responses to common challenges and develop relationships that individual countries might struggle to establish independently.
Building bridges towards commonwealth readmission.Advocate Jacob Mudenda’s engagement with British parliamentary leaders and the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association demonstrates Zimbabwe’s continued commitment to re-joining the Commonwealth. These discussions provide an opportunity to rebuild relationships, strengthen parliamentary cooperation and gain support for the country’s readmission bid. Zimbabwe has openly expressed its stance of relating well with every country in the international community in pursuit of mutual benefits through its friend to all enemy to none mantra. Rather than allowing past disagreements to permanently define its relations, Zimbabwe is pursuing dialogue in the interest of national development. This approach underscores pragmatic diplomacy and peaceful coexistence while reinforcing the idea that engaging with other country’s is not a sign of weakness but a recognition that countries achieve more through cooperation than isolation.
