We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today.
We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage.
And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.

I did say we'd be releasing our models periodically...introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, our next frontier model.
Following Argon's release just two weeks ago, Carbon shows the pace at which we’re pushing the frontier, it ranks #1 on the recently updated v5.0 of @ArtificialAnlys Intelligence Index at 59. It also leads across key cybersecurity evaluations scoring 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching.
We’re seeing significant improvements in long-horizon tasks even compared to Argon, and we’ve strengthened frontier safeguards.
As we did with Argon, we’re going to roll it out gradually + responsibly. Some trusted cyber defenders will get access starting this week. We'll be expanding it to more partners through our Fairwind Program, ahead of wider availability soon, so hang tight!

昨天 Ghostty 终于发布 1.4 了。
这个项目是我见过质量最高，但也是更新节奏最慢的。
神奇，从上次 1.3.1 到现在，已经过去 228 天（7 个月）。

🤣補一下這公司的言行歷史：
1: 我們創建自己AI初衷是不要讓AI成為奴役人類的無情機器，結果第一個數億軍方國防AI外包合約是我們簽的。
2: 我們不能讓AI太集中在某個財團的資本手裡，嗯但是我們要搞一輪大IPO，當然自己佔大頭。
3: 我們要然AI慢下來，OpenAI停訓11天啊，怎麼辦，我們當然是全速訓咯。
這一類項目全部都是源自iSH。問題不是不需要 JIT，問題恰恰是我們需要去支持更好的JIT，或者需要虛擬化框架～否則跑起來就只是跑起來，命令行工具都可以卡死你，而且兼容性還很有限。
卧槽，iPhone不用越狱就能跑Linux桌面，连Blender都跑起来了！
开源项目LinuxRunner更新到1.0.1，这次把iPad也适配了，不用开JIT，支持触屏、键盘鼠标。Debian13、Arch、Alpine三套环境可以选，apt、pacman、apk都能用。
Debian还能装KDE Plasma桌面。Firefox已经展示了打开网页，Blender能打开3D视图，Telegram桌面版连登录、发消息、通话都正常。
想玩的兄弟们，安装流程：
1. 下载IPA，用Sideloadly或AltStore签名安装，系统最低要求iOS/iPadOS15。
2. 打开Distributions→Set Up Linux，建议先选Debian，按提示安装、重开App、创建Linux账号。
3. 安装桌面组件，点Open Desktop。后续装软件用App Manager或者终端里的包管理器。
软件选ARM64 Linux版。大型软件比较吃力，先拿来玩终端、脚本和轻量桌面比较合适。

Analysis of possible screen damage caused by iPhone Duo hinge failure
The iPhone Duo hinge assembly consists of 5 groups: 2 on the upper section and 3 on the lower section. A carbon fiber liner supports the back of the display on the screen side.
After disassembly, and cross-referencing with photos of damaged displays shared online, my conclusion points to the middle unit among the 3 lower hinge groups — the right half of this specific group is the root cause.
One teardown found a structural component on the right hinge fractured and failed to return to its home position. The protruding part ended up pressing against and damaging the display.
Another possibility: the screws on this hinge group loosened, which prevented the carbon fiber liner from resetting properly, ultimately resulting in screen puncture / pressure damage.

Après avoir entièrement démonté l’iPhone Duo, @iFixit a découvert plusieurs éléments qui pourraient expliquer le problème.
La charnière serait le principal suspect. Deux pistes sont évoquées :
- Une barre de soutien centrale qui pourrait exercer une pression excessive sur l’écran.
- Des rails incurvés du mécanisme qui pourraient entrer en contact avec l’écran lors du pliage.
Elles pourraient expliquer les lignes lumineuses apparues sur certains appareils.
