Fall is arriving in Lexington! Temperatures are dropping as a cold front moves through the area. As cooler temperatures are forecast for the weekend, frost is possible. However, any frost should dissipate quickly on Sunday as the sun and temperatures rise. Streets and Roads will monitor weather forecasts for any changes that may require attention. Drivers should use caution, as wet pavement can be slippery at any temperature. If traveling, slow down and leave additional stopping distance between vehicles. Protect pets and plants from the frost and cold. Bring pets indoors and make sure they have a safe place to stay warm. Move any potted plants indoors and cover sensitive vegetation with a tarp or blanket.
