I would add: Don’t put a cap on books children are exposed to because a test says they can’t cope. As the teacher navigate, scaffold & support them to experience quality. Reading for pleasure is all about this. My next class book will ramp up the level. I am there to support it.

Why should children read? Because reading opens minds & hearts. It helps us imagine different lives, different worlds, and helps us build a better world. So keep reading books with kids, and encouraging them to read. There is nothing more important. #literacy
