🎨📖✨ Creativity, craftsmanship and a little time to recharge! One of the highlights of The Art of Healthy Living women's retreat at Sundance Resort was spending time in the Art Studio. There are so many creative experiences to explore, including jewelry making, ceramics and painting. We also got to see glass being blown right on the property! I loved learning that the artists from Mexico transform glass used throughout the resort into beautiful new creations as part of Sundance's recycling efforts. Our group made leather journals. We burned our own designs into the leather covers and then bound the journals by hand with waxed string. I loved getting to try something new and creating something personal to take home! In the afternoon, it was time to slow down and enjoy The Spa at Sundance Resort. I had the most amazing 80-minute Glacier and Ember treatment, a signature hot and cold stone massage by Brooke. The contrast of warm and cool stones, along with a warm and cold remineralizing mud application along the spine, made this such a special experience.The walk up to the spa was beautiful, with golden leaves surrounding the peaceful mountain setting. A day filled with creativity, learning something new and taking time for myself. 🌅🧘‍♀️ Wake up to mountain views, golden fall leaves and a beautiful new day at Sundance Resort! I loved staying at the NEW Inn at Sundance Resort, a 63-room rustic luxury hotel that opened January 30, 2026. My second-floor room, 220, had a wonderful balcony and beautiful mountain views. One of my favorite things was waking up, stepping outside and taking in the scenery! My morning continued with 8 AM yoga in the yurt. Walking beneath the golden leaves, seeing the snow on the mountaintops and spotting turkeys wandering around the resort made the walk to yoga an experience of its own. Inside the cozy yurt, we took time to stretch, breathe, slow down and set an intention for the day. After yoga, I enjoyed breakfast in the Living Room at the Inn. The buffet was lovely and I especially enjoyed the comfortable couches, games and welcoming atmosphere. It's a great place to relax, connect with friends and enjoy food and drinks throughout the day. One of the highlights of my weekend at the women's wellness retreat, The Art of Healthy Living, at Sundance Mountain Resort was a two-hour hike along the Sundance Nature Trail to Stewart Falls. I loved the beautiful contrast of golden fall colors on the trees near me and the snow on the mountaintops high above, breathing in the crisp mountain air and stopping to listen to the rushing water at the falls. Hong Kong is one of those places that I’m always excited to return to. ❤️✈️ I’ve loved traveling throughout Asia, and Hong Kong has a special place in my travel memories. I love the energy, the food, the harbor and especially the architecture including those incredible buildings with open spaces cut through them. They’re often called “dragon gates” or “dragon holes,” reflecting the feng shui belief that dragons need a path from the mountains to the sea. 🐉 So I was especially excited to celebrate Cathay Pacific’s 80th anniversary at The Grove in Los Angeles with my friend and former Princess Cruises colleague Amy. It was such a fun night under the stars! ✨ Cathay Pacific has been connecting travelers with Hong Kong and destinations around the world for eight decades, and I loved seeing the vintage uniforms alongside a look at what’s next. I also got to experience Cathay Pacific’s award-winning Aria Suite Business Class up close. Sitting in the suite while a flight attendant walked me through the full-flat experience made me want to get on a plane and fly to Hong Kong immediately! ✈️🇭🇰 With Aria Suites now available on flights from Los Angeles, I’ll definitely be thinking about that experience the next time I’m planning a trip to Asia. We also enjoyed signature cocktails and dishes inspired by Cathay’s onboard offerings plus the very tempting chance to win a Business Class trip to Hong Kong! I met Ezra Frech at a Team USA event on the road to the Paris Paralympics, and I loved talking with him about his determination, commitment and the work it takes to reach the highest level of sport. Then I got to watch him compete in Paris — and win gold medals! 🥇🥇 Now I’m excited to see where that same determination takes him next as he hits the dance floor on Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars with professional partner Daniella Karagach! From Team USA to the dance floor, I’ll be cheering for #TeamFootloose all the way to the Mirrorball Trophy! 🪩🏆 It’s pretty incredible to meet someone on the road to one dream and then get to watch them take on an entirely new challenge. 🎂 BRAVE-ish is THREE today! 🎉 Three years ago today, BRAVE-ish: One Breakup, Six Continents, and Feeling Fearless After Fifty arrived in the world. And honestly, it feels impossible to celebrate this birthday without thinking about how many people helped bring this book to life. I’m incredibly grateful to my agent Chip MacGregor, Debbie Englander and everyone at Post Hill Press, my developmental editor Ann Campbell and all the editors, publicists and PR people who helped shape, polish, promote and share this book. I’m grateful for the friends who took countless calls while I was writing and editing, listened to me talk through the 50 Before 50 project, encouraged me to keep going and celebrated the adventures along the way. And I’m grateful for every destination, tourism board, travel company, TV show, podcast host, journalist, editor, interviewer, bookseller, event organizer and reader who has given BRAVE-ish a place in their world. Three years, 12 book awards, countless adventures and SO many wonderful people later, I’m still amazed by the support this book has received. Truly, it has been unbelievable. ❤️ Writing BRAVE-ish changed my life. But the greatest gift has been everything that happened because of it — the conversations, connections, opportunities, adventures and reminders that being brave doesn’t mean being fearless. Gloria Steinem died this week at 92, and my sister sent me this photo. I first learned about Gloria Steinem and Ms. Magazine from Joannie Parker when I was a student at Westlake School for Girls. I never could have imagined that years later, I would write for Ms. Magazine. Not just once, but so many times. And then my sister took me to see GLORIA, the play about Gloria Steinem. And somehow, Gloria Steinem herself was at the performance we saw. She is in the picture—and there I am, too. We were both there, in this extraordinary little moment that I never expected. Full circle. From learning about Gloria … to becoming a writer for Ms.… to unexpectedly being in the same theater with her. It feels especially poignant this week. So grateful to @TravelLeisure for the opportunity to bring together some of my favorite cool-cation adventures in one story! ❄️ From taking a polar plunge south of the Antarctic Circle with @QuarkExpedition to an unexpected plunge while paddle boarding in Antarctica, and from walking with polar bears and hearing beluga whales sing with @ChurchillWild in Canada to braving my first -120°C cryotherapy experience at Appenzeller Huus in @Switzerland , this story brought together some pretty unforgettable adventures.
