The protesters demanded that Mykhailo Fedorov be reinstated as defense minister and that the reforms he launched be continued.
The day before, Zelensky removed Fedorov from the National Security and Defense Council. The corresponding decree was published on July 31.
Mass protests over the issue have now continued across Ukraine for 16 consecutive days. Yesterday, rallies were held in Kyiv, Odesa, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Mykolaiv and other cities across the country.
