Now that we're on mining pool stats, time to get ad banners and see get some extra things placed that shows profitability clearly for people.
Lithos is weird vs a traditional pools metrics.
Nothing else exists in the same category of proof of work mining.
Just adding a $ / MH stat and we would be good.
Be a smart miner. Mine lithos.
Lithos protocol replaces trusted mining pool operators on Ergo with on chain contracts and share proofs, letting miners build their own blocks without a central party that can censor or control payouts.
This strengthens Ergo’s decentralization, which improves the base layer assumptions Rosen inherits as an Ergo centric bridge.
So @SpiderPool, a bitcoin mining pool, plans to go public in the US via a blank-check company merger at a $250M valuation
Pools combine miners hashpower and pick what goes in blocks
Fewer, bigger, Wall Street-owned pools isnt the decentralization we want for bitcoin:native

NiceHash makes up 15 - 30% of Ergo hashrate, most of it going to centralized pools and barely making revenue.
Lithos users can outbid every single normal miner on NiceHash due to the profitability increases they get.
The older renters get pushed out, since they don't use Lithos and can't afford the new price per hash, and it will change the rigs from pointing at centralized pools to a decentralized one.
In the current state, it is pretty close to free money vs pointing towards a pool.
NiceHash's market hasn't priced in Lithos at all.
Lithos has some batching, machina finance and lithosdex stuff done or in progress for the next release. @LithosProtocol

One note: This update will cause your statistics database to reset. This does NOT effect normal operations, you will still be able to mine, lend, submit NISPs, get payouts, etc. It will make some parts of the webpanel and API not work properly until the resync is finished.

É impressionante, como a adoção tem crescido ao @LithosProtocol. Estude Lithos, estude ergo:native.

@LithosProtocol currently accounts for 7.3% of Ergo’s hashrate. What happens to Nakamoto consensus when it hits 51%?
🛡️ Decentralization is a big word, so here's a number to go with it
The Nakamoto Coefficient is how many independent players it takes to control a network, so higher means harder to take over

Top priority for Bitcoin community should be to revive competitive p2p pooling if it is really serious about resistance to state-level adversaries (pools like Binance's can provide, obviously). @LithosProtocol can be a solution here.
Pull up an llm
Input a chain
You can input a chain and a dapp as well.
Ask this.
How many independent control boundaries must a user’s economic intent cross before that user/peer can construct the resulting economic state?
Then input Ergo using Lithos Protocol.
It will answer why it was worth years to build.

É uma revolução que estamos vendo no padrão de mineração de ergo:native
Lithos activity is picking up! 45 blocks mined from the 7th to the 12th, and already 26 blocks today. ergo:native deserves watching.
They (Ergo) have a real chance to break the mining pool monopoly here and transition to a decentralized block production model where individual miners keep a larger portion of the rewards for block production, plus the incentives added by the mining contract.

DATUM and StratumV2 also are still centralized in payouts / share handling, though they do handle block templates well.
Lithos does more.
Lithos is a decentralized mining pool on Ergo.
You build your own blocks, prove your own work, and gain extra revenue for it.
Smart contracts keep payouts fair and non-custodial.

One advantage of being an early adopter: competition is usually low at the start.
If everyone mining on traditional ergo:native pools (miningpoolstats.stream/ergo) knew it was possible, they would all switch to Lithos:

Race conditions have two different problems.
A UTXO spend is atomic, so competing transactions cannot interleave on shared state, a chain of transactions instead.
The race that remains is which exclusive chain gets into the block.
Lithos settles that race with proof of work. Energy settles market sequencing.
Other systems in UTXO are a collection of half baked and weird solutions for that race.
