For Indian Americans, America is just a money making pit. Almost zero of their US born kids or grand-kids serve in the armed forces, police or fire depts.
American patriotism is NEVER brought up in their homes, temples, or community associations. Indian patriotism ALL the time.
Statement on Trump Suspending Microsoft from the PERM Program:
This is a crucial issue for me as the top Democrat on the Immigration Subcommittee, the only member of Congress to have actually had an H-1B visa, and the Representative for tens of thousands of Microsoft workers. The administration has been consistently working to take away legal pathways for immigrants to contribute their talents to our country, and this is yet another of those attacks.
The PERM program is the first step toward an employment-based green card for countless workers who want to contribute to this country, and it lays out a clear process with steps to ensure that this is a net benefit to our economy and does not harm American jobs. Our economy, our communities, and our families depend on immigrants in many sectors, including the tech sector, and heavy-handed attacks like this only hurt efforts to build a strong, stable, and diverse base of workers who have legal pathways to come and be in the United States while also protecting U.S. workers from unscrupulous employers.
You don’t fix a broken immigration system by taking a hammer to legal immigration. Microsoft has been a leader in advocating for comprehensive immigration reforms that modernize an antiquated immigration system and provide more — not fewer — legal pathways for immigrants from all over the world to work here and be with their families. Targeting Microsoft or the PERM program in this way simply undermines legal immigration and weakens America’s ability to innovate.

H-1B workers will leave large firms like Microsoft, TCS, Cognizant, and Wipro and transfer to smaller Indian bodyshop companies that can still file PERM applications.
New vendor. Same end client. Same job. Same game. Just a different middleman collecting the cut.
That shift is already underway as PERM filings have been paused at many big tech companies.
Shutting down the biggest feeders doesn't kill the parasite. It just forces it to find a new host.

I worked at Microsoft for 20 years. This is exactly why and how Microsoft hired H1-B workers. It was not a secret, at least not in the Finance department. It was openly discussed. H1-B workers cost less and drove down demand for US workers, suppressing wages.
Near the end of my tenor at Microsoft, however, the motivation changed - now the H1-B program was primarily used by Indian managers to bring in more Indian workers, as a way to help their fellow Indians (at the expense of Americans).
Corporations are laying off American workers and replacing them with cheap H-1B Visa labor, undercutting the wages of American workers.
This system has been going on for years. The @WHFraudTF is STOPPING this fraud, fighting for American workers instead of cheap foreign labor.

The idea that your children should have to compete against infinity foreigners for their first job is the most un-American thing I can imagine. A nation exists for the benefit of its own people. Start with loving your fellow countrymen and design policy around that.
This is simply due to my ownership stakes in SpaceX and Tesla.

A lot of college programs exist purely as a backdoor around immigration rules. Many of these students couldn’t care less about the quality of the education, which is abysmal at plenty of these institutions anyway, so long as they get a pathway into the United States.
Even if it’s a second- or third rate university, for these students it means they’re in, and once they’re in, they have built-in routes to stay after graduation. For the schools, this has been a massive goldmine. They get to charge outrageous tuition fees while the most valuable part of that package, access to the country itself, costs the university nothing.
So they enrich themselves and their grotesquely bloated administrations while pretending the whole arrangement is about “education.”
In truth, it’s a giant scam and the only real mystery is why it’s been allowed to continue.
The problem there is the Chinese students pay full tuition.
If their visas were revoked, billions of dollars that currently goes to U.S. colleges and universities to meet operating costs would evaporate. Hundreds of mostly smaller colleges in all 50 states would be forced to close at they lose not only Chinese students, but students leaving to transfer to a more prestigious university that suddenly needs 2000 more students for next semester.
It was both blue state and red state governors who begged Trump to not cancel Chinese student visas -- not Xi.

Current SAT math doesn’t go beyond algebra II, so there’s probably ~200 million Chinese citizens who could get a perfect score on a translated math section right now.
And yet Mississippi’s GDP per capita is 4X China’s. So maybe the “Chuds” actually have deep cultural strengths.

I have worked in the tech sector for over thirty years and have encountered literally hundreds of people from the third world who are in the US working in tech on the H1B visa program.
Many of them want to become citizens and many succeed, and then pull in their entire extended family through chain migration.
I always try to remember to ask what they like about the United States.
Without skipping a beat they all talk about the economic opportunities in the US. NONE talk about the freedom in the US.
I have literally had zero third worlders who now live here talk about our freedoms.
Meanwhile I have talked to Germans, Swedes, Austrians, Brits, Aussies ALL of whom mention that the freedoms that Americans have are unique. NONE of them have immediately brought up economics as the reason for being here.
That's the problem with 3rd world migration.

Salary: $55,931
No American citizens were qualified for these jobs.
H-1B stopped being a work visa a long time ago. It's literally an "infinite immigration from India forever" visa now.
70% of H-1Bs go to Indian nationals. It definitely needs to be ended and remade.

My son is a network admin changing locations, backfilling his old position which they posted. Looking for an onsite CS grad.
Can you guess what happened?
Result > 900 resumes from India. They found their American applicant to fill the role, but a bunch of talented American IT dudes that they are...decided to run them through HR and AI software found nearly all of them were fake. Credentials didn't match colleges, colleges didn't offer degrees, 2 yr master's with no undergrad, etc.
Meanwhile, we have Americans who must provide transcripts and background information repeatedly passed over for positions where H1B are hiring other H1-B.
It's an illusion. It's largely all corruption. It's a chip on a poker table for our politicians to trade for international agreements.

Hey everyone look at me I just got a 29 year old fired from his first NBA broadcasting job and ruined his entire career, because I saw he got hired so I went on twitter and keyword searched his account "Racist", "Black", and "Asian" and found something he posted when he was 15 years old.
Then I ratted it out to the Blazers organization so they could fire him.
