As a veteran, I wear a poppy to honour the fallen. All of them. Gay or straight, their sacrifice deserves the same respect.
To me, that red represents blood spilled. We all bleed red. The poppy doesn’t ask about anyone’s sexuality before remembering them, so why does it need an ideological flag attached?
This isn’t an objection to gay people. Gay servicemen and women belong in our remembrance because they served and sacrificed—not because somebody added a flag to a badge.
I’m sick of the pandering and the apparent need to put an identity label on everything. The poppy already includes everyone. Stop treating it as though it needs a bloody amendment.
You risk dividing the very people you say you want to bring together.
I want to honour the fallen. I care that they served, what they endured and what they gave.
I don’t care who they fucked. I care that they never came home.

I had got up really early, wandered down past The Tower Of London to be met by one of the most incredible sunrises I’d ever seen. I stood there taking photos for several minutes as it just got more and more spectacular. This photo is completely unedited. It really looked like this. Just a quick update on the case, I’ve received a phone call from the Metropolitan Police informing me that the case has been dropped with no further action.
I’ve been arrested seven times simply for expressing my views, yet I’ve never been charged. Just endless stress, anxiety, and nights spent in a cell.

Just so you understand. The poppy is for the boys who never got to grow old. For the boys who were still somebody’s baby, brother, uncle or father. More than 600,000 of them.
It doesn’t matter if you support war, hate your country, think you are a woman (even though you are a man). It doesn’t matter which God you pray to, or if you pray to none at all.
It doesn’t matter who you vote for, what climate narrative you believe, or whether you believe Israel should exist or not!
The poppy isn’t for you!
It’s for those who came before. Those who fought for your right to be weird, annoying or even foreign.
The poppy is how we say thank you. Thank you for giving us time, peace and choice.
And attempting to ban our poppy by declaring it politically divisive isn’t a move towards freedom. It is an act of suppression. Understand that.
The poppy is about love and loss. For you!
So stick your rainbow flags and every other flag where the sun doesn’t shine and just wear your poppy. Those boys did not die as symbols. They died for you!
Did you know that poppies grew across the battlefields where so many fell? As though even the land refused to forget the blood once given to defend it.

I’m just tired. This is the third time I’ve been arrested in the space of two months. Two weeks ago, the police showed up at my house, intimidating my family.
The process itself is the punishment, and it wears you down. My partner was just on the phone with me, upset because she genuinely believes there’s a chance she could see me go to prison.
However, this is what you sign yourself up for, and I intend to see it through to the end.
I’ve just been released on bail, and the case they’re trying to bring against me is an absolutely shocking attack by the establishment.
First of all, I’m banned from central London, including Westminster, and I’m also prohibited from attending or reporting on any Gen Z-style protests taking place in the UK. This is absolutely absurd and, in my view, nothing more than an attempt by the establishment to stop me from doing my work.
Secondly, during my interview, they were unable to provide any witnesses. Nobody involved in the Gen Z protests came forward with a statement or any evidence against me, yet they’re still attempting to pursue a case.
My duty solicitor did little to challenge the conditions imposed on me and didn’t seem particularly interested in contesting them.
More footage of what happened today will be coming out soon. The whole situation was absolutely insane.

Well today seems to have gone on forever, but now it’s time for bed, so I’ll leave you with my photo of this building in Wapping. It’s almost opposite The Prospect of Whitby pub which is one of the most atmospheric London streets at night. To the left of it was a pumping station that many years ago used to lift Tower Bridge up and down to let ships through. Now though, the beautiful building is crumbling and will soon be beyond repair. Not that that’s what the developers want of course. Anyway, time for you to stop scrolling now, once you’ve pressed like and retweet on my post of course. Nighty night.

Yesterday, during the riots in Paris, I spotted a Sky News reporter in trouble.
He hadn’t brought goggles and was suffering badly from tear gas.
I went over and used the eyewash solution I had with me to help him out.
It doesn’t matter who you are, who you work for or whether we agree on anything. If someone needs help and you’re in a position to give it, you help them.
That’s the English way. Don’t lose sight of that.
(And yes, the eye comment was deliberate 🙄😂)
Two other things I learned yesterday:
My ear defenders worked an absolute dream. One of the best bits of kit I’ve brought along.
And next time, I’ll carry my eyewash solution in a suitable reusable spray bottle. Much more practical when you’re trying to help someone in the middle of chaos.
Every trip teaches me something. Every mistake or experience is an opportunity to improve.
Life’s a journey of learning, adapting and improving.
And sometimes, being prepared means you can help someone else, not just yourself.
