ALT A flyer for the 2024 Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on Musculoskeletal Biology & Bioengineering to be held August 4-9, 2024 at Proctor Academy in Andover, New Hampshire. The GRC theme is “Multidisciplinary Approaches to Tackling MSK Problems Across the Lifespan.” The GRC is chaired by Louis Defrate (Duke University) with Alayna Loiselle (University of Rochester) and Constance Chu (Stanford University) serving as Vice Co-Chairs. Applications are due July 7, 2024 for the GRC. Travel awards will be available for family care travel grants and trainees with disabilities. The GRC Power Hour theme is “Enhancing equity in the conduct of MSK research.” The 9 GRC sessions are: 1. Keynote: health equity in MSK science 2. impact of aging on MSK health 3. Multiscale biomechanics & mechanobiology 4. MSK tissue regeneration 5. Impact of spaceflight on MSK health 6. Multi-modal imaging 7. Chronic joint pain 8. Generic regulation of MSK disease 9. Computational methods & big data in MSK health

The GRS is Co-Chaired by Jason Marvin and Sydney Caparaso. The program features two keynote speakers: Dawn Elliot (University of Delaware) and D’Juan Farmer (UCLA). The program also features two mentors: Kharma Foucher (University of Illinois at Chicago) and Nadeen Chahine (Columbia University). Abstract submissions are due by April 28, 2024 for talk consideration and by July 2024 for general attendance. The GRS is open to trainees and other junior scientists.
