Of course the large amount of money for this treatment will affect me greatly, but have considered taking myself out because of this pain. 🤷♀️
My specialist appointment went well this morning.
I'll be having my neck & back treated in hospital in January.
However, because I saw him privately, it's going to cost around $30,000. 😱
Off to another specialist this morning. Praying he helps me with the pain in my back & hands, which I sometimes have to rest for hours. 🙏🏾

I just finished watching the Matthew Perry documentary.
It’s a real insight into how most good comedians talk of the immense pain of people not laughing at their jokes. To be unlikeable.
It was also a raw insight into the life of living with an addiction.
But also through the eyes of the people who love him, and their struggles.
If you have ever experienced living with someone with addiction and mental illness, you will understand the frustration and grief surrounding it.
I thought it was compelling when his sister said it was like living with someone terminally ill. Expecting the worst.
‘Shocking but not surprised’ as Matthew quoted in his book.

Update - my son went well. They are putting his name forward for a roof plumbing apprenticeship.

I’m glad case workers are finally doing this. The pay isn’t on par with the private sector. We need a huge increase and there needs to be more mental health care for workers.
It’s an extremely emotionally demanding, important and difficult job. It demands long hours and lots of resources.
When I worked in child safety we had one car to a team. A team of 15-20 people. Doesn’t leave much time to attend to cases that aren’t a cat 1.
