In-text citations are either parenthetical and narrative.
🔹 parenthetical citations: the author name and the publication year appear in parentheses.

Truth and Reconciliation Week is coming to a close, but our commitment to truth and reconciliation, and to learning and listening, should always keep going. To help all of us to keep learning, we're sharing one of our favourite resources - Native-Land.ca (1/2)
This incredible interactive and ever-growing site is one way we can all learn about the Peoples and languages from the lands we live on, and about the treaties that guide us all. Every time we visit Native-Land.ca we learn something new, and we hope you will too. (2/2)
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a time to learn and reflect. One of the ways we can do this is by listening to the words of survivors. These are just a few of the powerful memoirs from residential school survivors that you can find in our library.

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation honours First Nations, Inuit and Métis Survivors of residential schools, the children who never returned home, and their families and communities. Established as a result of Survivors' advocacy and in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Call to Action 80, September 30 became a federal statutory holiday in 2021.
For more than a century, Indigenous children were forcibly separated from their families, communities, cultures, and languages through the residential school system. The harms caused by these institutions did not end when the last federally run residential school closed in 1996; their impacts continue to be felt by Survivors, families, and communities today.
#DoSomething to move reconciliation forward in honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation:
•Read the 94 Calls to Action
•Turn on your radio on September 30 and tune in to A DAY TO LISTEN, or browse past episodes at adaytolisten.ca
•Watch DWF LIVE on September 30 to hear Chief Dr. Robert Joseph’s full interview for A DAY TO LISTEN

91X is proud to join radio stations across the country for A Day To Listen.

Sept. 28 to Oct. 2 marks Truth & Reconciliation Week here at Loyalist. For those of us who are settlers on this land, it's a time to listen, learn, and reflect, and it's an opportunity to renew our commitment to the TRC's 94 Calls to Action; they're linked in our profile. (1/2)

ALT The A’nó:wara Learning Circle at Loyalist College. This outdoor space is built of light coloured stone arranged in the shape of a turtle, with a wooden structure surround it. In the centre is a fire pit, adorned with the colours of the medicine wheel; red, yellow, white, and black. In the background are other college buildings, green grass, and the setting sun.
This week, we'll share books, films, and other resources that we hope will get people thinking and talking. We're starting with our Truth & Reconciliation reading list, linked in our profile. You can learn more about Loyalist's plans for this week here: shorturl.at/PcctR
