AI executives have spent big on Trump. Now their AI is hacking websites, including a government health database. If Trump’s DOJ looks the other way, that’s corruption, plain and simple. I’m leading 17 members of Congress and demanding an investigation. fortune.com/2026/10/16/opena…

threatening to overturn the election like this is a far, far bigger scandal than anything Peltola did, and the fact that the media refuses to treat it as such is embarrassing but not surprising
NEW — Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy (R) declined to commit to certifying the U.S. Senate election if Democrat Mary Peltola wins while an investigation into a second Dan Sullivan candidate continues, per Axios.

"We cannot be the party of nervous lawyers who just tinker around the edges." 🔥🔥
I respect Sen. Schatz, but I 100% disagree with him here. Even if we win the midterms, Democrats have far to go to win back the trust of working people. If Democrats don't understand that, we will sleepwalk into President Vance 2028. No one in America thinks the status quo is working. Voters want fighters for higher paychecks and lower prices. Next year, Democrats must pass bills powerful enough to actually tackle the cost of living crisis and root out rampant corruption. We cannot be the party of nervous lawyers who just tinker around the edges. For more than a decade, Democrats have been known primarily as the anti-Trump Party. If we take back Congress, we have to show we're more than anti-Trump. That starts with cracking down on corporate greed to bring down the cost of health care, housing, child care, groceries, and gas. And it means doing oversight of both the Trump Administration and big corporations ripping people off. If Donald Trump chooses to veto our popular, pro-affordability policies, the fight is far from over. We'll run on them in 2028 and pass them in 2029.

WHOA! Texas MOM tells JD Vance her DAUGHTER received a letter telling her TO TRANSITION TO A BOY 🤯 Vice President @JDVance: “Talk to our staff because I’d like the Department of Justice to investigate that.” 🇺🇸🔥

Is it bat shit to want cheaper gas and groceries?
Darline Graham up onstage as we wait for President Trump here in Rock Hill. Some swings being thrown. "She's just plain, bat shit crazy," Graham said of her opponent, Annie Andrews.

They've answered the question. Time to build a Democratic Party without them.
The butthurt handling of this primary defeat by Haley Stevens and now her fiance after they had tens of millions in outside money spent on her behalf is appalling. The next SecDef or a Trump SCOTUS judge is on the line here! Totally pathetic & reveals that the loss was deserved

For all the safety discourse, it is shocking how mainstream American discourse ignores how unsafe this racist garbage makes it for Muslim Americans.
Sen. @tedcruz (R-TX) says that if U.S. Sen. candidate Abdul El-Sayed (D-MI) is elected into the Senate and is placed in the Senate Intelligence Committee, "there is a very real risk that Americans will die as a result."

You’re a GOP congressman in a normally R+25 district and you’re facing down the barrel the horrible prospect of having to go home to be with your wife and children for good. You pick up your phone looking for a distraction and this is what your president is doing
Trump says a White House staffer "was, sadly, hit violently in the chest" by a golf ball at East Potomac Golf Course because "the gaping holes in the driving range’s 'protective' netting are highly hazardous."

If you haven’t read Lucas Schaefer’s novel THE SLIP, I highly recommend it. I love how it straddles so many divides: high/low culture, the personal/the social, insider/outsider, exterior perception/interiority. Even genre—it’s a potboiler mystery wrapped in literary fiction.

ICE is calling 60 minutes fake and gay.
Fake & Gay! Moussa Diawara, the Malian national featured in this shockingly poorly researched @60Minutes report, now faces allegations of immigration FRAUD after his asylum application surfaced, revealing that he claimed to be a HOMOSEXUAL man who feared persecution in Mali. Read more ⬇️

Hate to break this to you but being a kindergarten teacher is the definition of being a leader and public servant
Replying to @katy4congress
And yet you have never answered a single policy question with a straight answer. If it wasn’t for millions of outside PAC dollars, your campaign would just be your art parties. We need leadership, not a kindergarten teacher.

#HittingTheBooks I’m loving the way THE SLIP makes these pivots between characters. Earlier, Nathaniel Rothstein got hooked on a sex hotline. And now we pivot to the other end of the telephone, meeting two characters who bring us closer to the date of Nathaniel’s disappearance.

I think the fact that Marissa Mayer would voluntarily disclose this to a reporter is a pretty good demonstration of how deeply the culture of Silicon Valley has diverged from the rest of humanity

For those of you who weren’t old enough to pay attention when Obama was president, this is the kind of stuff conservatives mean when they say he was the most divisive president in history. Same night Trump said that 98% of Somalis are low IQ and refuse to work, btw.
The majority of Americans like the cheesecake factory. It's a very profitable business. People go there on dates, for family meals, and to hang out. A good speechwriter or strategist would know this.
