A sea of heads on Saturday filled the 40,000-capacity Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, as the Rivers people pledged to mobilise three million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election. President Bola Tinubu, First Lady Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and wife, senate President, River state APC PCC Coordinator H.E Wike, Governor Fubara and others were welcomed into the stadium with arousing welcome with heavy cheers from the excited crowd in Port Harcourt. The massive turnout, characterised by colourful displays and enthusiastic chants, underscored their determination to strengthen the President’s grassroots support base in Rivers State and boost his re-election prospects. The mobilisation received a major boost as Dr Betta Edu and members of the Women Mobilisation Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council took the First Lady’s grassroots mobilisation initiative to women in rivers state. They came from communities, market women, and rural households across LGAs in Rivers State. The team also embarked on outreach visits to the hospital in Port Harcourt as part of efforts to deepen engagement with women, children, and vulnerable groups. The initiative, anchored on the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu and the grassroots mobilisation vision of First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, seeks to expand women’s political participation and build a formidable support network for the President’s re-election bid. During the outreach, the Women Mobilisation Directorate urged traders, market women, youths, community leaders and other stakeholders to take the Renewed Hope message to the grassroots, stressing that effective mobilisation must go beyond rallies to direct engagement with voters in their homes, markets and communities. Their three-million-vote pledge highlights its resolve to consolidate support for Tinubu in Rivers State, a strategic South-South state.
