United win their 3rd game of the season, in November, and they’re running around celebrating like it’s a cup final, the fans are all applauding and lapping it up as well as the Carrick chant gets sung around an Old Trafford. This. Is. Why. We’re. No. Longer. Successful.

🚨👹 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐃!! Throwback to what Ryan Giggs told Rio Ferdinand about Amorim’s tenure at United in Apr 2026: "A sign of a good manager is the team he leaves behind. He's left Manchester United in a pretty good place" ● And I agree with him. Moyes, Van Gaal, Mourinho, Solskjær, Ten Hag and Carrick (soon) have all left the club lagging behind, with no real improvement in individual players, no decent signings, no proper structure, poor fitness levels, countless injuries and little to no team chemistry. Amorim inherited all these problems and fixed them. He left no major problem behind, except the ones the club refused to fix for him.

Imagine Real Madrid being almost in the relegation zone with just one league win by November and they sing the manager and players off 😂😂

He said this 12 months ago while at United and couldn’t see it through because Wilcox had a power trip. And 12 months later, well, the table and football speaks for itself.
Ruben Amorim is clear: No SHORTCUTS with weak foundations for a lucky Scudetto if you can’t repeat it. Good foundations for CONSISTENT success otherwise you take shortcuts & are in the same place, year after year. Top notch vision. 🤌

I totally understand the concept of wanting to finally give a manager time at United but Carrick is not the one. His in-game management is appalling and he’s tactically inept. He has no aura. He doesn’t command respect . He’s too nice. #mufc 🇾🇪

If Carrick and Fernandes have had clear the air talks can the defence have clear the ball talks?

Amorim has gone up in my esteem. He called these prats out and suffered the idiotic emotions of Wilcocks. Carrick is staying there and protecting them. Resign or at least say something. I respect the Amorim the man more than Carrick the man.

United might have won a league by now if everyone hadn’t lost their mind because Mourhino defended away at Liverpool and called Luke Shaw a fat cunt.

It’s just nonsense We’ve been shit all season They didn’t rock up at Hull 1st day of season & think let’s get rid of Carrick Just fucking lazy punditry
🚨 Gary Neville on the players: “They’ve downed tools and they’ve done this a number of times. They decide when to switch it on and off like a tap.” [@SkySportsPL]

Michael Carrick will doubtless pay the price with his job for this deserved defeat to an excellent Bournemouth side and another lifeless display by his Manchester United team. Some of his selections and tactics have been questionable, United were again so open in the centre. But Carrick was not responsible for recruiting Youri Tielemans, who lacks physicality and mobility (and Aston Villa haven’t missed him) and Andrey Santos, a Chelsea reserve.  Carrick was not responsible for the board’s damaging failure to strengthen at centre-back and left-back. Carrick was not responsible for his main striker Benjamin Sesko being injured and the board’s failure to provide him with cover. Carrick was not responsible for the club he loves being in the grip of co-owners like the Glazers whose priorities are focused more on business than the sport. The direction from the top has been negligible, arguably negligent. No real leadership. No expertise. Carrick may be out of his depth but many United fans sang his name during the painful demise to Bournemouth because they know he cares and they know the problems lie elsewhere. The Stretford End again sang in protest at the wretched Glazers. Noticeable that there were few songs in support of Bruno Fernandes. He is supposed to be captain, rallying the players, Footballer of the Year, Player of the Year, not arm-waver of the year, underachieving and complaining. Yet Bruno will be at United longer than Carrick.  Carrick was praised for United finishing third last season and getting in the Champions League. But he will doubtless go partly for his own failings and mainly the failings of others. And United will be trapped in this doom loop again. And again until the core problems are addressed in the boardroom - and the Glazers sell up - and flaws in the recruitment department. #MUFC #MUNBOU

You know what annoys me? The same United legends who are always vocal about managers’ shortcomings and piling pressure on them to get sacked suddenly go quiet when it’s their mate Carrick. Same thing happened with Ole. The guy’s won one in eight, and that was against Sabah FK!

‘The supporters are of the upmost importance to this football club’ So why are the club proactively employing people to ban those supporters then? This is a man who genuinely fails to see that the values of this club have changed - It’s all about revenue now, not trophies.
Michael Carrick looks absolutely broken as he begins his press conference with a statement before taking questions.

Wasn’t this the same thing Ruben Amorim said but you and your buddies ganged up against him!

The United cycle is now at the demand for a glamorous tyrant - Conte - to show these players what real work looks like. That'll be followed in 18 months by a giddy interim spell by an earnest club legend - Johnny Evans - and then by an Ineos-coded ideologue with good hair - Howe.

I personally would welcome more damning interviews like Lisandro Martinez or Erik ten Hag. Anything that puts more spotlight on those at Manchester United who are to blame for the ongoing state of the club & it's failures is a good, necessary thing.
