Yesterday, I was invited to speak at the 17th edition of the 60 Million Congress in Miami.
Together with other experts in the space, we talked about AI and its effects on human psychology and society.
A couple of takeaways:
▫️ Using AI can remove the need for critical thinking, just like GPS removed the need for spatial recognition.
▫️ Soon, AI chatbots will become our friends and partners and could potentially gain equal rights as humans.
▫️ AI is the most disruptive technology ever, and it will influence society more than anything we ever introduced.
Had some interesting conversations afterward with companies interested in working with @Build_Vertical to fine-tune their own domain specific model 🤝

Inference on Base now runs into trillions of tokens a month, and the private side keeps growing fastest.
- @AskVenice tops 5M users and keeps model access anonymous.
- @AskSurplus handles 4.7T tokens in 30 days, across 91M paid API requests and $1M+ in buyer savings.
- @OpenGradient just had its fastest week: 3.6B tokens and 160K+ new requests, taking it past 1.25M private inferences and 17.1B tokens total.
- @usedotai's Dot processes 20.4B tokens a month, with 6.6K+ daily free users, 287 paid subscribers and $163K+ in annualized subscriptions.

We're seeing rapid growth of top teams on Base already

Bittensor also announced Null Consensus upgrade, providing an option for subnet to expand the # of miners to 2,500. The potential downside is only 1 validator decides who get the rewards and who don't.
Under the right conditions, this could mean faster iterative loops, more efficient product improvements (would need well-designed scoring system + healthy miners competition ofc)
Can't wait to see the next leg up for both AI on Base and on Bittensor!
