On atteint exactement 30,06°C.

BRIEF TASTE OF OCTOBER COMING FOR MANY! After what's been a very warm end to Sept, start to Oct, we'll see temps fall back to norm or slightly below through the rest of this week into weekend. Something we haven't seen in some time. Past 7 days anomalies vs day 2-9!

🌨️ A severe #hailstorm in Paraguay on October 3 with hails the size of tennis balls smashed windscreens, dented vehicles, damaged roofs, structures and plantation causing losses of millions. Meteorological services had issued prior alerts for severe storms with strong winds near 100 km/h and hail. #ClimateChange #weather

With a record strong El Niño underway, the East Pacific has seen an impressive record-shattering stretch of hurricane activity in the last few weeks. Going through some impressive statistics of just how historic it's been in this thread:

Warmer Nino region + much warmer global ocean!
Here's what this year's El Niño looks like next to the three strongest that came before it. What stands out to you?

2026 has likely finished with 85 days exceeding 25C at #London Heathrow Airport this is a staggering 25 days above next highest year, 2018. We've never known anything like it.

🌊💔 A Hawaiian landmark is gone. The iconic 90-foot Hōlei Sea Arch at @Volcanoes_NPS has collapsed into the Pacific. It was still standing Sept. 23 but was gone after Hurricane Nolo on Sept. 27. Park officials are urging visitors to stay away from the unstable cliff edges and closed areas. 📸 NPS/J. Wei

France’s ongoing drought has once again pushed soil moisture further below historical levels than any previously recorded drought. Uncharted territory.
