The Coalition has explained why some classic Gears of War features are missing from E-Day at launch.
The developers say they started E-Day from scratch with “an empty hard drive,” rebuilding the entire gameplay sandbox for the new technology.
But that meant leaving out several classic Gears features at launch:
• Meat Shields
• Chainsaw Duels
• Some classic weapons
• Private Lobbies
• Leaderboards
• Ranked Versus, which arrives October 13
The Coalition says these features aren’t gone forever.
Funny that they spent resources in pride emblems instead of more gameplay features

So, I guess I wasn't a BattleTech writer? Thirty-plus years of content says otherwise. Hell, they have a dead guy on the list, but not me? Was it deliberate? I invite you to form your own opinon. Oddly enough they have no problem selling my books.
I'm sure someone will say I'm being petty. Let's be clear, they started it. This is how censorship works...little erasures lead to bigger ones.

I was speaking to @BaldingsWorld the other day and he made a good point. The CCP controls access to China. They will vet every one of those students, monitor them, cultivate them, turning them into the next generation of “China experts” who will say “we’ve been to China. We know how it is. Don’t listen to other people. China is our friend.”
It’s a long con. One the CCP is very good at playing.
