“I can’t believe Haley Stevens endorsed Abdul’s Republican opponent. She was only supposed to do that implicitly through months of Islamophobic innuendo and antisemitism smears.” -every liberal news network

ATTENTION VOTERS: if you want to vote for trump, you have to write it in, specifically on the US Senate section of the ballot
I actually do think Stevens is unwell but that's not seperable from her politics. It's 100x harder for someone this unhinged and unskilled to win a house seat from the left. But if you toe the centrist line...

I’m glad to see the political establishment come out against Stevens. The next step should be to reflect on their willful ignorance towards Islamophobia, weaponization of anti-Semitism, and centrist undermining. This didn’t happen overnight.
Nate can't help but call AES immature here for disinviting the woman who was about to endorse his competitor after spending another weekend on Islamophobic attacks against him from his final campaign events.
OK, I obviously, obviously had to write about Haley Stevens. Free bonus newsletter.

Please don’t blame @HaleyforMI for appearing with @MikeRogersForMI this morning. This is all on El Sayed. Period. He has had chance after chance to do what’s right. He did not. I don’t know who is running his campaign, but WOW that person and El Sayed sure failed. They possibly cost us @TheDemocrats the Senate.
Was it on Biden and Harris to create a big tent for people protesting the genocide in Gaza? Because I seem to recall a billion tweets blaming them for Harris's loss.
All I said was don’t blame her. It’s on El Sayed to welcome her and to create the big tent. Instead he is closing it and too many of us are falling for it. He is helping to help push some of the most loyal Democrats and largest campaign contributors away. We cannot have a party that accepts the antisemitism that Hasan Piker and others spew. Do you accept antisemitism???? First they came for the Jews, then they will come for all others. I’m a proud Democrat so please don’t question my allegiance.

BREAKING: woman whose primary campaign was almost entirely funded by Republican donors endorses Republican
Don't let them tell you this is because Stevens personal failings. It's not. This is the inevitable result of her politics.
I’ve known Haley Stevens for a long time. Until now, she has always had staff to protect her, prop her up, and keep her safe from her own irrational behavior. What we’re seeing now? This is just raw, unfiltered Haley.
The Haley who flip-flops and goes from thought to thought without rhyme or reason. The Haley that calls you at 3 AM to yell at you, and then calls you back at 5 AM oblivious to the fact that she even spoke with you at 3 AM. The Haley who bends to the last and loudest voice that tells her something.
More often than not that last voice is now her fiancé. And as you can see by what one of her former staff people posted earlier here on X, that appears to potentially be a really troubling relationship.
Up until this point, other than a joke I made on X a few days ago, I wasn't going to say anything public about Haley Stevens or how she has comported herself since the primary. It not only wasn't appropriate, I would never, ever want anyone to think I was speaking for or on behalf of my wife. But Haley's erratic choices mean I can no longer be silent about my interactions with her since the primary ended.
I approached Haley in the middle of September about putting her name to an Op-Ed attacking Mike Rogers for his unwillingness to denounce the antisemitic members of his own team, the $10 million in support he's received from Christian nationalist Tim Dunn, and his steadfast opposition to a woman's right to choose. The goal of the Op-Ed was to remind members of the Jewish community that Mike Rogers doesn't align with our values. The proposed Op-Ed never mentioned Abdul. The only thing it asked for was to not vote for Mike Rogers.
Initially she was very interested in it.
Then she wasn't.
Then she was again.
Then she wasn't.
She never signed it.
Literally the bare minimum - attack MAGA Mike Rogers, the guy who would have been running against you had you won the primary. And that was over a month ago. This is nothing new. This is just who Haley is. By the way, here's the Op-Ed that she wouldn't let me publish.
Remember forever that the Democrats who run on being more electable than the party's left-wing are also the Democrats who will literally vote for Republicans.
Mike Rogers will be another rubber stamp for Donald Trump’s dangerous agenda. We can’t afford to give MAGA another Senate seat in November. #MISEN
It is very important not to let right-wing democrats pretend Steven's right wing turn was unforseeable and personal to her.
She did this because of her beliefs -- because the beliefs she shares with Neera, Buttigieg, & Schumer. They all prefer Trump to the left.
You didn't need to see the future, you needed to watch how she campaigned and what she campaigned for.

13,792 votes. 0.9%. We were that close to electing another Fetterman if the left hadn't intervened.

Standing with Miker Rogers is a betrayal of everything Haley Stevens has fought for her entire career. It's also a betrayal of all of her supporters that believed in her. I hope @AbdulElSayed has a strong victory on Tuesday and that all Democrats and like-minded independents support vote for him.

You work hard to get your law degree. Your friends are mostly going into Big Law where they start out making $350k to help corporations rip people off. You want to make the world better, not worse, so you get a job at NRDC, making $70k to protect people and places from pollution. Then you see Matt Yglesias—the guy who cheered on the Iraq War and defended Biden’s senility and said the people of Minneapolis shouldn’t have protested ICE—use Halloween to argue that you’re the problem with our politics.
Spooky, indeed!
Annoyed people are accepting the premise that the Cenk Michigan ad is antisemitic. Like it's true aes had nothing to do with it and shouldn't really have to answer for it but also it's not antisemitic at all.
