British ambassador to China Sir Alan Donald wrote a secret diplomatic cable around 24 hours after the Tiananmen massacre, which was only declassified in 2017. The cable reveals stunning information previously unknown to most of the world, and likely, much of the country itself.

This is a Gaza supermarket right now. It would be a shame if this went viral and completely exposed Palestinian propaganda.

Historians estimate that Mao Zedong's caused the deaths of between 45 and 75 million people in China. The major tragedies and figures associated with his regime include: • The Great Chinese Famine (1958–1962) • The Land Reform (1949–1953) • The Cultural Revolution (1966–1976)

The intense backlash for plainly describing Mao as a dictator is an exercise in psychological conditioning. Consider what is actually happening when activists insist that others affirm that biological males can become women. Publicly endorsing claims that contradict observable evidence and common sense imposes a significant reputational cost on the speaker. That cost makes defection more expensive and demonstrates that the speaker is a fully committed member rather than a free-rider who might abandon the tribe when conditions change. The more prima facie absurd the claim, the stronger the signal. In this respect, “Mao was not a dictator” functions in the same way. Its defiance of readily available historical evidence turns it into a sacred shibboleth - those who affirm it at the expense of their own credibility show that the group’s moral authority supercedes everything else. It is therefore a mechanism for sorting the compliant from the non-compliant. The people who readily accept the claim or remain silent while others are punished for rejecting it, are those who prioritize commercial access, relationships, and social standing above dignity and truth. The tremendous penalties incurred by Mbappé and La Liga for failing the slightest of slights on Mao’s legacy are meant to be noticed and internalized by everyone else. They illustrate the practical consequences of refusing to toe the line. What follows is a gradual narrowing of acceptable statements that foreign individuals can hold without commercial penalty. You may not be a Chinese citizen, but you will live under their moral codes and law. Each time someone subordinates evidentiary scrutiny to the demands of solidarity, this habit is reinforced. Repeat a falsehood often enough, and the distinction between what is useful to believe and what is true begins to erode. ✍️ Me in @TheSpectator: spectator.com/article/why-ch… (btw I'm quite proud of the title IYKYK)

QUAD A-10 REPORT: The Quad Ghost Pilot has risen from the grave yard to seize a PRC troll and take him across the River X to the land of the forever suspended. “So… you told someone you were gonna turn their timeline into a crime scene. Bold strategy", commented the Ghastly Ghoul from beyond. "You got the deluxe suspension package: no replies, no quotes, and eternal ‘This post is from a suspended account.’ Welcome to purgatory, No Hanworldorder for you." ACES UP! @hanworldorder

There is something seriously wrong at the BBC. This is the headline they used for a Muslim peace activist who was murdered by an Islamist group for preaching against radicalism.
Controversial Islamic cleric shot dead in northern Nigeria bbc.in/4sto6Fj
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Sheikh Yahaya Ibrahim Masussuka was a prominent moderate Sufi preacher in Nigeria known for advocating interfaith dialogue and opposing violent extremism. Ansaru claimed responsibility, citing his peace efforts as the motive. bbc.com/news/articles/… pmnewsnigeria.com/2026/10/27/pop…

BBC is such a corrupt news outlet. The man was nothing controversial, he was a moderate Muslim and was killed for it. BBC would never let you know this.

Hilarious coded message on Chinese social media: -------------------------------------------------------- Q: What did Mbappe actually say? (His comment was censored in China so people unfamiliar with the incident would have no idea) A: He said Tang Guoqiang was an art student (Tang, the Chinese film star, was famous for his frequent portrayal of Mao on screen. Hitler was an aspiring artist) --------------------------------------------------------- The irony of the Mbappe cancelation is that a pretty good test of whether Mao was actually a dictator, or whether the Chinese people live in a dictatorship, is that whether in China you are allowed to say Mao was a dictator.
