This👇is so true! I have learned so much about my Ss just by chatting w/them in the hallway as we walk to my Intervention room. Starting EVERY lesson w/“How are you today?”builds the trust that I truly care about them ♥️Being honest letting them know how I am is just as powerful.
Don't dismiss the power of small talk with your students.
If you listen close enough you will find the bridge to trust and connection that will open doors for learning.

Today, I was able to drop in a first grade class and have some fun! I sang and danced with students as they blended and segmented sounds. I taught them some of my favorite songs that will help them learn to hear the individual sounds in words. #pisdmtss #pisdlachat #pisdela #SOR
